Yep, and it never changed. The wall discussed was not along the entire border. The wall was built. Obama's own policy and priority was on deporting criminal illegal immigrants, and deported more than any other President in history. Illegal immigration also decreased.

So what happens to the double fence that covers 600+ miles right now? And what happens to the virtual monitoring program that was defunded under Obama? And what happens to the all the private land that the wall could cut off owned by US citizens? Imminent domain? Federal acquisition for security purposes? Or do they just make the wall holey so that people could get to their land? And what about that golf course that is along the river?
They existed in Texas under Governor Bush, President Bush, Governor Perry, and Governor Abott. This is certainly an issue that the GOP has been talking out both sides of their mouths for awhile. And? It's just a dumb policy considering most of the people and drugs move under the ground or go through legal border checks that sees ~25 million people crossing the border monthly. End the war on drugs, watch Mexico stabilize, and people won't be so desperate to illegal immigrate. No need for a very costly wall and no need to spend so much money on law enforcement, the court system, and incarceration.
