Oil and carbon based fuel will still be widely used around the world and in the USA in 15 years. Anyone that thinks that Joe Biden or any politician can snap their fingers and erase it are sadly mistaken. That is why I always have a smirk when a democrat talks about phasing it out and then a republican runs around like the sky is falling. Having said that, the key to the USA for the last 100 plus years has been to be at the forefront of innovation and the "next big thing". That was the case for agricultural development, the advent of automotives, the refining of energy, medicine and cyber technology. With an expensive workforce, these "ideas" are what has allowed the USA to have a tremendous stranglehold on the culture and direction of society. The USA must be at the forefront for the development of alternative fuel sources and their practicality. The country that leads in this arena will be very wealthy and profitable. Can you imagine the USA if it was not at the front for silicon valley or computer technology? Where would the economy be. So, it really does need to be a priority to subsidize and support alternative resource and energy development.
