Thanks mr obvious. Yes fracking and the AOC deal are polar opposites. One happens and one is never going to happen. Do you know what Rule of Capture is?

Texas is now the leading state in wind energy. As Tinman likes to remind us Tesla is building a Gigafactory in TX and likely going to have battery production. The state as a whole isn't so dependent on O&G as it once was. While O&G make up a big part of the Houston economy Houston is also much more diversified than it was in the 80's. We're also not going to be off of fossil fuels for decades even with an aggressive transition to renewables. Houston isn't going to turn into a ghost town under Biden policies.

What could turn Houston into a ghost town is more flooding storms that this city's infrastructure just isn't prepared for. Climate change is a far bigger threat to Houston than what Biden might do.

No. The polls were about regulation, not AOC deal. You brought that up as if the polls were about AOC deal.

Not really? Have you seen the oil sector? It's pretty much dead. Even Exxon is preparing for the transition.

This is from before the debate

Have you missed the thousands of layoffs this last year in O&G? lol. Houston has BEEN transitioning out of Crude Oil because Natural gas has been kicking it's ass.

You folks are campaigning for a dying industry who's only real victims are already trump voters. Roughnecks and pipe fitters. It's no secret that renewables are taking over with a little help from natural gas. Biden even say he likes fracking but we need to trap the emissions using tech.

When we drove to Arizona recently I was stunned by the number of wind farms in West Texas. Once you get near Amarillo (ugh, btw). We made a point of returning not by the same route but through Clovis NM-Lubbock; prettier, and also a lot of wind farms.

Probably got brain cancer. --- Dr Trump

Hopefully solid state batteries become more viable in the near future as that is what is going to allow long term storage of energy from wind and solar that is going to allow for wind and solar energy to scale to provide base loads for cities.

Anybody looking at the elevation of all the refineries on the ship channel? They are threatened by a rise in sea level and by increasing hurricane activity. Climate change threatens our economy too. There will be more profits in refined products than energy soon if not now.

Didn't watch because I don't hate myself. Who here switched who they're voting for based off the debate last night?

It's always sad when people reveal themselves in the D&D and start with the propaganda.

Why start now with less than 2 weeks left to go.

    Kind of desperate.

Within weeks after the initial shutdown in Los Angeles, the smog was magically lifted to the point visibility across the valley was possible. That was only possible because the freeways and streets were virtually empty.

The handwriting is clear, all forms of renewable energies should be on the table. Fossil fuel will be a thing of the past.

I got my solar panels this year (and the federal ITC credit). I'm going to wait 2 or 3 more years for EVs to get cheaper and better. I want a big cybertruck or something like that.

One of my biggest issues with Biden's rhetorical abilities is when there are shades of grey in accusations by Trump such as him saying "you want to eliminate fracking and oil", Biden just answers with "I've never said any such thing" rather than providing a little bit of nuance and saying that I want to phase it out. It makes it easy ammo for Trump people to say he's lying.

It's clear you have no idea what happened to Detroit.

People are moving into Houston and not leaving, Suburbs where the death of Detroit.

Detroit also did not have another thriving industry to fall back on lie Houston does (medical)

O&G companies in Texas will end up being the major companies for renewables.
