Who Will Be President? By JOSH KATZ UPDATED November 8, 2016 The estimates on this page are based on pre-election polls. For an estimate including results, The Times is providing live forecasts on election night. President Senate House Hillary Clinton has an 85% chance to win. Last updated Tuesday, November 8 at 10:20 PM ET CHANCE OF WINNING 85% Hillary Clinton 15% Donald J. Trump Forecast history ↘ Recent changes ↘ State by state ↘ Other forecasts ↘ Likely scenarios ↘ Explore paths ↘ The Upshot’s elections model suggests that Hillary Clinton is favored to win the presidency, based on the latest state and national polls. A victory by Mr. Trump remains possible: Mrs. Clinton’s chance of losing is about the same as the probability that an N.F.L. kicker misses a 37-yard field goal. For months, we’ve been updating our estimates with each new poll. Today, it’s Election Day, what we’ve all been waiting for, and there will be no more updates. You can chart different paths to victory below. Here’s how our estimates have changed over time:
You know that the Rockets have probably a 15% chance of beating the Warriors in a 7 game series. That percentage increases if a troll army of 16 year old Twitch celebrity worshipers and Russian bots spam anti ref proganda saying the series is rigged for the Warriors and a bunch of stupid people believe them.
You do know what the difference between a poll and a prediction is, don't you? Scroll back up and see what you were responding to...
What? You scroll up and see what you’re responding to. Do you see where the polls is what determined the prediction?
Yes the president has exposed Democrats for being anti American by: -attacking our own law enforecement agencies repeatedly -praising autocrats like Putin, Duterte, etc. -calling Mexicans rapists -calling Nazis “very fine people” -attacking a free press and free speech -asking a foreign government to hack our government for his political gain -using his position for profit (see news yesterday on Emoluments case) -and generally having no regard for the rule of law (as seen last night even by ordering the firing of the special counsel) Yeah he really exposed Dems didn’t he?
You mean this post: Look again at what I posted... that the polls at the end showed a close race. That the final popular vote was pretty much in line with those final polls. Getting to your new point... polls are polls, not predictions. People may make use polls to make predictions, but the polls themselves are simply data points from which you can make a prediction. The bigger question: how or why anyone would trust current polling since they were wrong about the 2016 race (someone else asked what poll had trump winning) and the belief that you "can't trust current polls because the polls in the 2016 race were so wrong" isn't accurate, as the polls were close enough to the final vote. Even with the suspicion that many republicans (or perhaps all voters) didn't honestly answer poll questions about their intentions. The suspicion that people were perhaps uncomfortable to tell pollsters that they were voting for trump. Interesting to note that discomfort exists even here today (how many people on D&D said "I didn't vote for trump, but..."). Looking at today, every poll shows trump's current unpopularity. Even traditional republican-favoring polls like Rasmussen and Fox. That despite we are not in war, the stock market is way up and he just passed a showy tax cut bill.
Micki fried you can gloat all you want but here some updated percentages for 2020: Hillary Clinton: 0% Donald Trump: 0%
NO VAN GOGH FOR YOU!!! can you believe van gogh is spelled with two Gs? very fancy pants immigrant. https://www.washingtonpost.com/amphtml/local/dc-politics/the-white-house-wanted-a-van-gogh-the-guggenheim-offered-a-used-solid-gold-toilet Basically trump wanted to "borrow" a van gogh painting for his "personal" living "space" instead he was offered a gold toilet by the museum .
Social media + corporate media + decades of exposure + fear/scared + lightly educated + memes = an unflinching voting robot.
The internet is a wonderful tool for you. It's lets scum like you post your idiot nationalist views behind the cover of anonymity. You're the past of this country, not its future. Deal with it.
Trump won't have the luxury of running against Hilldawg again, although obviously whoever the Democrats run will get the communist who wants to take everyone's guns and destroy America label from Trump and co. but it's unlikely whoever they run will have the stench Hillary had. Speaking of anti-American views, which side is currently involved in a conveniently-timed love affair with Russia?
INSANE! If the country is going the way of Candy Ass then count me out or then maybe I will be the one crying insistently like a little b****.
