Buried in the Quinnipiac poll is this important data on Trump's support among White non-college voters. These are the typical "swing" voters and he just have a net lost with them for the first time.

Historically, you can see how much of this group move over the years:

With the economy in the US continuing to steam ahead. But trump still having dismal approval ratings, what would have to happen for him to get any lower? Or has he already bottomed out at 33%??

Probably lose the House in 18. See the 33 or so percent of Americans that still love him are ideologically bound to his agenda which aligns to theirs. That won't change. Really it's the Jeff Sessions/Steve Bannon agenda but Trump is the vehicle.

If those folks see that Trump and the GOP have failed and can't get anything done because they lost the house, I think then they will technically dissaprove even though they still approve of his agenda.

Another thing to watch is Trumps relationship with the Christian Right. For whatever reason, they still feel as if he's a "baby Christian" doing Gods work and the leaders like Pat Robertson still champion him. I'm watching to see if he says something that offends Christians greatly or to see how long they can stomach such blatant un-Christian like behavior.

Point being- there is a ton of white Suburban Christians in this country. They overwhelmingly win him districts like Georgia 6. If the Christian Right decides they've had enough, this 33% will plummet. Trump would have to present a moral crisis that they couldn't avoid. (Pee tape maybe..)

If the economy tanks, that number will collapse. The sitting president always gets the blame on that one.

Now on the flip side, Democrats still need to present a compelling alternative to capture that. You can still disapprove of Trump and vote Republican again at all levels. That's the part that Democrats have to work on.

Just thought I would re-quote the OP for comedic value.

Maybe his polling will increase while he is on vacation: out-of-sight, out-of-mind effect?

LOL... Trump is so obsessed with and jealous of Obama that he retweets a twitter poll (reckon all the whining about unscientific polling goes out the window when they favor Trump):

Mr. trump is seriously "retweeting" that unadulterated crap? We have a grown uneducated bully from the playground as president. A man with no apparent knowledge of history, who doesn't appear to read, and who is incredibly insecure. A minority elected him and a much smaller minority supports him today. What a continuing nightmare.

Trump had formed a business advisory council to help him on job creation and other business-related issues,
comprised of CEOs of a variety of major U.S. corporations

when Trump pulled the US out of the Paris (climate change) Accord, Elon Musk quit the CEO council.

when Trump had demonstrated that he was too timid / afraid---being political correct---to specifically call out the white supremist groups, KKK, Neo Nazi, at the Charlottesville, VA riot, the Merck CEO quit, issuing this statement

Important to note Bob Iger (Walt Disney Corp) and Travis Kalanick (Uber) have also left Trump's Business Council (along with Musk and Frazier).
