Honestly, I think this scandal is pretty tenuous. A Chinese lady has gotten herself involved with the Florida Republican Party, makes a point of meeting and taking photos with Republican luminaries, and tells Chinese people she can get them access to the president. If you pay money, you can be a member at Mar-a-Lago. If you pay money, you can host events there. And, if you are bringing wealthy donors, you can get meetings with politicians. That doesn't mean she has any influence on the president. She just has a hustle where she makes money by helping rich Chinese people meet with the minor nobles of Trump's court. What's the big deal? As for the prostitution and blackmail angle, still the only alleged john I am aware of is Kraft. Having your picture taken with a madam at a fundraiser is not tantamount to buying sex services from a human trafficker. It's just a photo. (Now, I would be shocked if Trump did not regularly use prostitutes at Mar-a-Lago (probably harder to have them come to the White House); maybe this lady is his madam or maybe it is someone else. But again, this lady taking pictures with politicians doesn't show anything).

This. It is interesting that there is a connection (even if it is a coincidence) but as far as I can tell that is all it is. There are bigger concerns than Trump having a buddy that got serviced by a slave. The sleeping giant is the activities of China. Their behavior is terrible but little is being made of it.
You can call the Chinese government communists or gangsters... it doesn’t really matter because under either title, they still are oppressive monsters.
