The bit about wanting a new contract for The Apprentice made me remember how my history teacher would always say we might have been able to avoid World War II and the Holocaust if only the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts would have accepted Adolf Hitler into their art program. I've long suspected that Trump didn't really want to win. But, I don't believe he currently doesn't want to win. The best time to not win would have been to let the RNC steal the nomination from him. He could have said he deserved to win, and that he would have beaten Clinton had he been allowed the nomination. And, he'd have millions of people validating him. But, no. At some point, something flipped and he decided he wanted to win not just the nomination but the presidency. He can have Pence do all the work, if necessary. But, he won't be satisfied with any moral victories. He is compelled to crush his enemies and claim total victory.
Given the recent campaign staff changes, might Trump be in the final stretch of his true endgame, TrumpNews?
I read an article by a former campaign manager (some high level job, maybe not manager, but just beneath) who gave up on Trump late last year. Trump's original idea was to get 12% of the vote (a so-called "protest" vote) and raise his brand, make some more money; but then this whole thing took off when the white Wal-Mart crowd showed up in droves. Now he's stuck. It isn't that he gives a s*** about the job itself or anyone else; the Donald does not "lose". He's already stoking the fire of an illegitimate win should the votes go against him, "the whole thing was rigged". Trump is beyond words. You can't make this crap up. People in his own party say "we elected a fantasist" due to all the unbelievable outrageous stuff that he says. Yes, politicians lie, but this is fascist-level stuff: speak to the thickest, most racist idiots and bring them to a boil.
Hillary trying to connect with the youth is full of cringe.

Hillary Clinton: "Donald Trump says we don't win anymore. Trailing Clinton 30% to 47% in the 18-29 age bracket. https://morningconsult.com/2016/07/...o-clinton-trump-cant-buy-older-minority-vote/
Trump has some die-hard supporters who don't care what he says or promises. People who don't like a President who promises to make war crimes part of his foreign policy makes racist statements against Federal judges Claims to know more about ISIS than the generals shows that he doesn't understand how the branches of the Federal government work Doesn't want to live up to treaties doesn't understand how trade agreements work doesn't understand how treaties work support military families who've lost loved ones serving in the army fighting the wars of America and much much more Will never vote for Donald Trump. Our country may have some crazy activists who support Trump but even just amongst the people who will actually vote, the people will support a candidate who meets every requirement on that list are still a minority. It isn't really close.
Moore just wrote this as well. _____ 5 REASONS WHY TRUMP WILL WIN I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I gave it to you straight last summer when I told you that Donald Trump would be the Republican nominee for president. And now I have even more awful, depressing news for you: Donald J. Trump is going to win in November. This wretched, ignorant, dangerous part-time clown and full time sociopath is going to be our next president. President Trump. Go ahead and say the words, ‘cause you’ll be saying them for the next four years: “PRESIDENT TRUMP.” Never in my life have I wanted to be proven wrong more than I do right now. I can see what you’re doing right now. You’re shaking your head wildly – “No, Mike, this won’t happen!” Unfortunately, you are living in a bubble that comes with an adjoining echo chamber where you and your friends are convinced the American people are not going to elect an idiot for president. You alternate between being appalled at him and laughing at him because of his latest crazy comment or his embarrassingly narcissistic stance on everything because everything is about him. And then you listen to Hillary and you behold our very first female president, someone the world respects, someone who is whip-smart and cares about kids, who will continue the Obama legacy because that is what the American people clearly want! Yes! Four more years of this! You need to exit that bubble right now. You need to stop living in denial and face the truth which you know deep down is very, very real. Trying to soothe yourself with the facts – “77% of the electorate are women, people of color, young adults under 35 and Trump cant win a majority of any of them!” – or logic – “people aren’t going to vote for a buffoon or against their own best interests!” – is your brain’s way of trying to protect you from trauma. Like when you hear a loud noise on the street and you think, “oh, a tire just blew out,” or, “wow, who’s playing with firecrackers?” because you don’t want to think you just heard someone being shot with a gun. It’s the same reason why all the initial news and eyewitness reports on 9/11 said “a small plane accidentally flew into the World Trade Center.” We want to – we need to – hope for the best because, frankly, life is already a **** show and it’s hard enough struggling to get by from paycheck to paycheck. We can’t handle much more bad news. So our mental state goes to default when something scary is actually, truly happening. The first people plowed down by the truck in Nice spent their final moments on earth waving at the driver whom they thought had simply lost control of his truck, trying to tell him that he jumped the curb: “Watch out!,” they shouted. “There are people on the sidewalk!” link
