What a selfish baby Donald Trump is. Not only did he not make a public speech after the contest, he and his campaign are refusing to congratulate Ted Cruz on his win and Trump has now descended into another one of his petulant little name calling fits.

You really cannot make this stuff up. And this guy thinks he is fit to be the President of the United States? Is this how we want a President of the United states to act? I don't think so.

Is there some type of chart that shows the creepiness of Cruz and the awfulness of Trump and where they meet to me a crappy candidate? The poor republicans are a GD joke. All of this news for this party that is just going to lose again. Time well spent of one's life I say.

Well you say that but on the other side you have a criminally incompetent former Secretary of State and a Socialist.....the poor Democrats are a GD joke too.

Sanders isn't a socialist though. He isn't pushing to end private industry or private ownership of land or private universities.

All he is fighting for is a system which isn't heavily rigged to favor the wealthy.

It's more like a Social Democracy than Socialism. I think he calls himself a socialist to raise eyebrows but he isn't fighting for socialism.

He calls himself a Socialist and he's running on basically a "free stuff" platform (though he'd disagree with calling it that) where he dramatically increases federal spending. I think it's fair to call him a Socialist given that he calls himself one.

Here is Bernie's page on income and wealth inequality.... which is something only a socialist would even say.

    https://berniesanders.com/issues/income-and-wealth-inequality/

If you scroll to the bottom you will see his plan. EVERY SINGLE ITEM is either a plan to tax or a social program. EVERY ONE.

He is running as Robin Hood. People in this country actually believe that he will be able to steal from the rich and give it to the poor.

I would LOL but it ain't funny.

Yeah, gotta love those Bernie supporters. My younger brother is great example: 24, college degree, and making < $9/hr in retail. Oh, he's a big Bernie supporter - as are many of his friends. In fact, according to them, everyone has been voting for Bernie.

Here's my "hot take" on Bernie supporters.

Sorry , but your Bernie post 2 wks ago sounded like you were drunk---at least that would be your best excuse. (i'd dig it up but I don't have the time)

I haven't read any of them after that, but if they are just as incoherent I don't understand why you are still going on and on.

And then, on this bbs, you also know professionals making 6 figures who also support Bernie. Go figure.

Very true. People of any economic bracket can have short sighted political beliefs.

What's your point? His ideas to combat income inequality is to provide government services and implement taxes on the rich and corporations. How else are you supposed to combat income inequality?

We have public roads, public schools, multiple social programs in this country. Are those a threat to our culture of capitalism? What is wrong with government provided services?

There are many non-socialist countries which provide the social programs that he is advocating. These aren't new ideas.

My point is he is a socialist.

He is promising free stuff to non tax payers that he is going to pay for by taxing tax payers more. I'm a tax payer...

The problem is I actually like Bernie and tend to believe that his motives might be pure. But even if he is a saint and creates perfection of distribution and I trust him to do that, the next politician in line is just going to screw it up.

Robin Hood is a story for children, kinda like Bernie Sanders.

Yes, many people do have short-sighted political views. I tend to find that such people are self-aggrandizing. Usually try to refer to themselves as being something very positive or make some loose comparison to some major historical figure that accomplished great things....
