If you're talking about Dwight Howard, then you're 1/3. Actually, I'm pretty sure his post moves are also mundane, so probably 0/3.

He hit 12 straight freethrows in a back to back game against the Pacers in the 4th quarter to ice the game - and up to that point he had missed any for a few games.

In all honesty, what player did the Rockets have last year that could successfully perform in an iso situation AND got playing time?

When your team is full of overachieving role players, you capitalize most of your successes by playing team basketball, not running an isolation offense.

Joke right? Use FT% and 3PT to say Lin has no mid-range game???

FT 79.8% is sooooooooooooooooo much below 80% that he must be bad FT shooter ...

If they can do it with Mario Chalmers, they can do it with Lin, maybe even Norris Cole.

Sure... Just make sure that team has LBJ playing at his best and Dwyane Wade. Chris Bosh wouldnt hurt too.

Nash shot 82% on free throws in 2 of his first 3 years.
Free throws are just like everything else, some times it takes a while to get it perfected. If he is starting at a base of 80% as a rookie, you can probably expect 85% or above in his prime.

Jason Terry, for example, shot over 85% only once in his first eight years, and now has five straight seasons of over 85% free throws.

Lin's ISO excellence may actually be the main reason Morey wants him. Morey's looking for guys who can take over and create their own offense in the 4th quarter. He's been vocal about that in interviews.

I knew as soon as Lin became a Rocket they were going to start saying he isn't that good...

I actually think he will be better here. Now he doesn't have to give the ball up to a black hole with an over inflated self worth.

JS, I think you are wasting your breath.

Personally I know it's early but after watching the scientific breakdown video posted of Lin's skill set and the dribble jump shot of Lamb, we could have a killer of a one two punch on the floor within the next few months. Pick your poison with Superman in the wings?

I hope that's not too much to ask. Uncle Morey.

Which Lin are you talking about? Pre-Melo or when Melo was playing?

Scenario 1 (contender with Howard) or scenario 3 (no Howard, worst team) are the most likely. Either way we win. Sounds like Morey DID know what he was doing after all.

Of course he won't have the same amount of success as New York, if he continue Linsanity he would be putting up better number than Magic Johnson.

However I will say, he is a solid starter.

Lin would do well if Howard comes to Houston because Lin really became accustomed to the Knicks' pick-and-roll offense. So if Howard comes we could emulates a similar offense for Lin. Also if Howard comes I could really see Lamb and D-mo having a good season as they would be getting easy points off in-and-outs from Howard because he would be drawing the double teams.

Wow, love when journalists don't know how to use stats. This tells us only one fact, but not an accurate picture of WHY Lin did so well. It ignores so many other factors. On top of that it doesn't tell why Houston didn't run ISO plays so much.

LMAO @ how all of a sudden, Lin is garbage because he no longer plays in NY.

The bias is comedy, but we've all come to expect it.

Had he stayed in NY, it woulda been a "GREAT decision" to keep him.

"He's a star in the making!"

But since they passed, now it's "for the best" and he's a fluke.

Excuses for days as to how what he did was an aberration and NO WAY can he lead a team or do that again.

"He's a back up, at best!"

"Better suited to be a spark off the bench"

    "Excellent 6th man."

    "He has no left"

    Hahahahahahahahaha!

    Lots of anger!

Y'all wasnt sayin that **** last season while he was in beast mode and lead story on Disney sports channel every damn night!!!

Gary Gnu (Stephen A.) and the rest of those clown NYers are gonna wish they had him, come November when Father Time and the long lost member of the Fat Boys prove they just don't have that "it" to keep NY bball in the national news.

    NY belongs to BKLYN now.

Knicks are the east coast version of the Clippers now.

    The old Clippers, I mean.

When I saw S.A.S. on ESPN this morn, I could literally see salt flying out of his mouth as he spoke. lol

    Neeeeeew York....Neeeeeeeeew Yooooooooork!

    Eff 'em!
