NYK is a circus and a cesspool, Lin is a good kid who deserves better.

Don't know how it will work in HOU, but glad he is getting paid and getting out of there.

As long as he is playing like a capable starting point guard I'm fine. I don't expect the whole 25 ppg thing to happen here.

If Mchale lets Lin play at a faster pace in up-tempo. Lin will do just fine

    Classic case of misusing statistics.

Rockets were only 22nd in isolation plays you say? Maybe because we didn't have many iso players.

Can't wait to pair up future superstar PG with best center in the NBA who's got great attitude, sick post moves and is great freethrow shooter.

Our offense is FAR from an isolation offense, but what you said is also true. I could see McHale continuing to add more iso to the game plans, particularly with the post players. He started to do that with Scola during the season, but I thought it was really hurt Scola's efficiency.

I don't really see McHale ever calling many perimeter isolation plays.

When Mike D'Antoni left Knicks, Lin's offense is reduce to Melo...how can you say he thrive under that offense?? There is not way!! SO that article is ridiculous. Lin thrive when he control the ball all the time and make decision like Steve Nash. He play risky basketball but he thrive and expose team's weak defense by going to the hole. Most of the PGs do not attack as hard as he did or hesitate when it come to attacking...that's what make him special.

    Assumption:

Rockets wont change the style of the play even though 100% of their roster have been changed.

While every coach definitely has his preferred offensive systems, a good coach also tailors his system to the strengths of his players. If Lin is highly effective at isolation, I see no reason why McHale wouldn't add in a few wrinkles. The goal at the end of the day is to win, not play this system or that.

We're going to hear the coaches complain about the ball not moving side to side a lot this season.

If they were that flexibile Lowry wouldn't be in Toronto. Martin wouldn't be disgruntled.

Sounds like a Stephen A. Smith approved article. That guy is such a douche.

exactly. gee, I'm sure the rockets won't try to play up to the strengths of individual players and instead keep doing the schemes they feel like.

Yea he is, but believe it or not. He is actually very CREDIBLE

He predicted the Whole Big 3 in Miami months before, and has been right a lot more often than he has been wrong

Lin clearly has "it". He has a high basket ball IQ, a quick first step, and good shooting stroke, and most important, a killer instant in clutch situations. Clearly a star in the making.
