At the game, I literally said "what the f*** are you doing" as he let go of that shot. I had no doubt that it would seal the loss for us. Then it went in and I didn't know whether to be happy or pissed.

Lowry is really what turned that game around with his defense on Chauncey, and then Adelman got smart and put Ariza on Billups late in the game when Brooks came back in while Battier was on Carmelo. Absolutely great coaching last night.

The Ariza shot reminded me a little of the infamous Zach Randolph shot with the Knicks-- dribble, lose ball, recover, launch 3-- except the results are different and I think Zach chucked his from 35 feet.

I really didn't think the shot was that bad. Carmelo gave Ariza a lot of room, and he shot it in rhythm. Was it the shot the Rockets were looking for at that time? No, but the offense was thrown off after he lost the ball anyways. Why not take the open jumper if it's there?

carmelo burned ariza all night long, and on the shot before I think. My friend right next to me told me he was going to walk up and shoot it to compete with melo. And he did.

There was BLATENT superstar officiating in that game last night...if the league does not want that to be the perception, then they better tell the refs not to make it so obvious because they made some horrible calls last night... way to step up to the plate guys..great win.

That Ariza shot took balls. I pretty much thought it was going in; I figured he must have knew, or else he wouldn't have taken it. He would have been roasted. You need guys who aren't afraid to take a big shot.

Why Rox fans need to be spammed with these kind of absolutely biased bs articles from TrueHoops? I thought that site had lost all its credits already even before ESPN bought it?

Either way, this game shouldn't be even close if not Rox got screwed by the 3 consecutive bs blocking calls at one point. That totally changed the momentum of the game until very late 4th quarter that Rox finally be able to step up a clutch game with the "I want it more than you, David Stern's biatch!" attitude.

For all the shots Ariza has missed, he has taken and made some big ones. Even when he was going through one of the worst shooting slumps I've seen, he wasn't afraid to shoot the ball. I didn't like to see the ball in his hands back then, but I thought he showed some nuts by playing through the hip pointer and I think he's fit in nicely since coming back. It's really nice to have him on the break.

That's what i thought when Brooks pulled up. There is nothing to call there, they were ready to let Denver kill anyone that get's near the rim and blow the whistle at our end.
Luckyly Brooks made that shot and Carmelo, in all his greatness, didn't recognice the refs were gambling on denver and shot a 3. Letting the refs with nothing to call.
The refs crying moment was finally when Carmelo's airball went directly to Scola's hand, denying them any chance to call a foul on the rebound.
    Poor NBA refs.

Like the play where Melo headbutted Shane and Shane got called for a foul... or the play where Ariza got a clean steal and got called for a foul... or the play where Melo gave Scola two elbows and Scola got called for the foul... or the play where Melo pushed off AB to get the final shot... or the 5+ plays where Melo traveled flagrantly and it didn't get called...

    +1.

We were trailing by about 6 points with less than 2 minutes to go. Anthony was inviting Ariza to take the shot. Under those circumstances, not a bad shot at all.
