I think many of us Rocket fans tend to over value an injury prone star on the downward side of his career.

With that being said, I doubt the Suns would do a Marion/Barbosa for TMac trade, but I would try it.

I'd also talk a lot with Chicago about either Gordon or Hinrich and some combination of Thomas/Noah or Nocioni.

It's stupid to trade anyone when their value is at it's lowest. TMac is injured, his stats dropped while he played injured, and he wasn't fitting into the offense. Now that the rest of the team seems to be "getting" Adelman's schemes, TMac will jump back in and flourish.

TMac was frustrated because his teammates couldn't hit a shot. He worked to get them open, and then they missed just about everything. IMHO, he was frustrated with Adelman's new schemes because the rest of the team couldn't hit the side of the barn. He came into the season hitting on all cylinders, excited, playing better than ever. I don't think he was against Adelman, or not buying into Adelman's system. He was frustrated with everyone else not "getting" it.

If you want to trade him after he comes back, and starts leading the league in scoring, then you can talk. But, now, it's stupid to talk trading him. You won't get your money's worth in return.

DO NOT TRADE HIM...give this team a chance to gel with TMac and Yao and Rick Adelman.

Josh howard straight up for Tmac I'd do in a heart beat...durable...sweet Defense and solid Offense, but Dallas is not stupid only problem with that is JHoward might dunk on our own basket since it's habitual for him to dunk on Yao.

But none of the trades listed above are good...we don't need another guard like AI and Marion is not a consistent shooter and is worthless without a guy like Nash running the show

    Beat me to it!

Honestly, there isn't one proposal there that doesn't make me sick to my stomach except for that Sacramento deal. Everything else just demonstrates this writer's lack of understanding of basketball talent.

Even the "talent-for-talent" AI and Vince Carter trades are bad. AI is the perennial loveable loser that plays hard, scores a lot of points and never wins in the playoffs anymore.

And Vince Carter....well, we don't even need to go there. I would rather give Luther Head 25 shots and watch him play hard for 82 games rather than even pretend like you can count on VC for one second. Not to mention, if fans are growing tired of T-Mac's durability and passion issues, what the hell sense does it make to trade for one of the biggest creampuffs in the league?

It appears most people missed it: these are not trades proposed by the blog's author, Henry Abbot; rather, they are results from queries submitted to ESPN's Trade Machine by the blog's readers that supposedly match up using the mechanics of NBA salary cap.

In my opinion, not one of those trades is worthwhile. If we can't do this thing with McGrady, then it's not worth doing. It either works its way out on the court, or next summer it's time beach the ship and break it down, retaining only two or three nucleus players (including Yao, probably Brooks, perhaps Battier, et cetera). I'm hoping it doesn't go that far, though.

At least this guy said he has no idea if Tmac is even on the block. I don't think management has an intention of shipping McGrady out of town unless the deal is just ridiculously good and that isn't happening.

    Tmac isn't going anywhere.

    Famous last words:

NO WESTERN CONFERENCE TEAM WILL TRADE FOR TMAC, and VICE VERSA! We will not send Tmac to our direct competition. That is insane, even if he was injured or hurt or ineffective.

I don't think we can really send him for much, as people have said, it's more of a buyers market with the mac.

This article is as worthless a read as listening to a couple of brain dead beer washed fans talking to Sam Smith!

Maybe Rox do trade TMac. Maybe they don't, or won't. But, get realistic about who or what would go in both directions, and why. And don't 'publish' on a presupposedly real site.

    What utter trash.

they would be shorter than the majority of high school backcourts...

bigger guards like rip and chauncy would have have a field day.

I didn't see any trades that the OTHER teams would do. But I did get a Ryan Bowen sighting!!!!! Is he back in the league? Scramble man!

Tmac's value has really slipped. We were talking about Kobe at the beginning of the season, now these crap trades are the best we can do?

I hate how every article of this nature acts like Yao and Tracy have been at it for 10 years. Patience is lost on all of us, I'm not saying trading someone isn't the answer but for god's sake, we've had, what three years of Mac and Ming and one of those was completely wasted because of injuries. Stop acting like these two have been at it for ten plus years and just can't get it done, that shiite pisses me off.

Lest we forget the post Twin towers era when we had in hind-sight possibly the greatest center to ever play the game and we just weren't getting it done in the playoffs. Imagine if we, and we almost did, give up on that guy.
