one thing you overlooked young man :p

is the fact that nearly if not all of the nba players were at one time in thier life a "superstar" of his own right

either in high school or in college, these players were the best of the best and I would think that they all carry around that same attitude

alot of people have arrogance even though they have nothing, so you cant really hate on those that has arrogance because they are somebody

if i was an nba player, hell yeah i am going to be one arrogant mofo

I guess this is how rolling dice gave him the affinity for that finger roll/floater of his. It unfortunate he doesnt have as good a feel for it as the dice.

It wouldnt even have to be a MJ card, thats still pretty messed up regardless.
Whoever thinks that a kids father stealing his basketball cards for drug money isnt rough just doesnt get it.

You're right I don't have much idea who Rafer really is and how tough he really had it. Many a thug has come out of a tough life or a damaged soul but his own Mom says he was a spoiled brat. Not the usual charecteristic of a tough life and I assure you I know something about it. Still however bad he had it, it is easily put into perspective after seeing that little boy with cancer who's last request was to meet Yao and Tmac. That's where my empathy goes too.

Perhaps but I always admired Hakeem's talent as well as humility. ANd Yao is another Rocket superstar who has humility. Still I will acknowledge I don't know much about Rafer and I am certainly including my dislike for the way he sometimes plays the game into my judgement of him.

i think we should be very grateful that we have had these aforementioned stars who shows so much humility yet they are able to dominate in games

its a rare mix - humility and passion

most great players had huge egos, jordan, barkely etc - since thats what drove them to such greatness
