Heh. First of all I didn't say organization. I said coaches. Do you think Adelman really cares about Morey's stats? I don't know. I know both SVG and D'Antoni are using advanced stats. Spoelstra does. Do all of them? I doubt it.

I can't find the article I was looking for, but I'm pretty certain that a few years ago I've read an article that stated that most, but not all NBA teams are using advanced statistics.

    A few titbits:
[rquoter]Recently, numbers guy Wayne Winston, who was employed by the Dallas Mavericks, made a name for himself by declaring that he wouldn't want Oklahoma City's budding superstar, Kevin Durant, on his team for free.[/rquoter]http://www.nba.com/2009/news/features/john_schuhmann/10/23/stats.analysis/index.html

Winston also called Stoudemire overrated and Brad Miller the most underrated player of the last decade

    [rquoter]
The service is provided by Synergy Sports Technology. It is basketball scouting for the digital age, and 26 of the NBA's 30 teams use Synergy.[/rquoter]

3xHoF = Championship contender, advanced stats celtics style...

but really, every player has strengths asnd weaknesses, well except Manu, the guy shoots the same percentages off EVERYTHING.

Its kind of funny... Barkley, Drexler and Olajuwon all used to operate on the same side of the block. Caused some issues.

Most of them don't know how to use them, the MIT crew all said Durant should have been easily the #1 draft pick.

    The basketball scouts Greg Oden.

For the most part formula stats mean nothing (minutes played has a higher correlation to w/l than per, +/- etc)

Morey should've sat down with Ariza and told him to stop dribbling.

The key point to what you said about Jordan and Hakeem is "summer." Bosh was just presented with this stuff during the season. It makes sense for him to adjust his game for now to play to his strengths and work on his weaknesses when he's not playing meaningful games.

Also, you're completely ignoring the fact that Hakeem was far superior on one side of the floor versus the other, and that this actually caused some inefficiencies when he was paired with Barkley because they both liked the same side.
