Ackerman called the Parsons 3-point pump fake the "Head and Shoulders" move. I hate Parsons mostly for having watched thousands of those.

Exactly, why the **** should anyone care about what Parsons has done in the past? He may be getting paid of potential but this is a "what have you for me lately" league in terms of respect. Chandler doesn't effect games the way he used to, at this point and time Dekker is a more effective player and has a better outward looking potential, obviously that could change but how would that benefit us as Rockets fans?

IMHO Hindsight is the key word here.

I stand by my statement: Parsons had his best seasons here in Houston and at age 22-25.

Every other white player just has to make sure their career is solid and long enough.

Parsons is a better shooter & passer than Dekker. Dekker is a better rebounder and defender.

Although, if you compare their first year, the only thing Parsons really was only a better passer.

Parsons is maybe a better ball handler but theres nothin Parsons does Dekker can't. Matter fact, Dekker's a better defender & 3pt shooter. He's more physical than Parsons.

If Dekker continues to progress there's a good chance he will be better

Problem with Dekker is his back. Once a disc ...always a disc. I predict Dekker will mirror Parsons in injury history too, unfortunately.

As a side note, many of you are overrating Parson's rookie year. He had flashes but he wasn't that good overall. Parson's PPG (season) were 3pts higher than Dekker (to date) but Parson's started 57 games and Dekker started 0 games. All other stats are nearly identical. So considering that, Parsons wasn't playing any better than Dekker is now.

Yeah I remember Parsons as a rookie thinking he moved kind of goofy but was scrappy and confident. Dekker actually looks more fluid right now than CP as a rookie.

Who remembers that? Yeah, I think it's too early to tell, Sam hasn't shown he's able to pass the ball effectively yet. Parsons got the nod at the SF when he was a rookie here because he was committed on defense. Since leaving the Rockets Parsons knees have been a huge liability so in retrospect Morey did well not signing both Bosh and Parsons a few summers ago.

Hopefully Dekker continues to improve his game, I don't expect much out of him this year besides what he's doing now, cutting to the rim and shooting the 3 > 35%. Sorry I have low expectations, especially after someone who's been out their rookie year with an injury requiring surgery.

    "Hey Bud, let's party!"
    "Chandler Bang!"
    "Double Dekker!" "Triple Dekker!"

The Rockets TV broadcast team always have special calls for the lunch pail high motor players.

Just being able to log minutes makes many a NBA player better than Parsons.

Parsons stopped being useful when he stopped playing defense.

He fell in love with his offense and that wasn't great

Parsons was good player he was a jack of all trade guy who could hit the three ball at 38-40% most nights.

Dekker I don't see that type of game from him but I think he can have a better career because parsons only really had 2 good season and then half a seasons worth of good
Play in his 2 years in Dallas.

So in all he's has 2.5 years of good play plus his rookie year were he was solid. He's pretty much been injured for 40% of his career.

Personally I think he's done. He looks fat and slow. I know he's coming back from injury but he should be in better shape than that. The guy is only like 27-28. If he just eats right and works out while he's rehabbing he would be in much better position to succeed.

I think he's lost his passion for the game. Somthing changed after he left houston.

It happens to many players. The worst officiated professionals sports league in the world. Along with a business emphasis over retaining fan favorites or maintaining 'loyalty'. It's all about getting 'mine' now. Can't blame him or any other player or person for trying to take care of themselves and their families/friends first and foremost.
