I don't when you necessarily grew up, but this was a highway thing. Schoolbus passed a Truck and we all would do the horn pull sign and when the Truck acknowledged? It was awesome for the kids! But we never knew the Trucker liked it, too. Let your kids do this again. It gives them a sense of pride, to make it easier. We try to let the children's laughter remind me of how we used to be.
I was thinking about that thread the other day. I met my niece's dad to pick her up from an Easter visit at a truck stop/casino in Louisiana on Easter (they're all casinos). I had to take a quick piss and the men's bathroom was packed around the sink area and I thought there was a line. I looked around the corner and all of the urinals were free so I took care of business and left. I realized later that I could have bought anything illegal I wanted in that bathroom except women. Louisiana is a shithole.
I thought I had seen every episode. I stopped watching the newer seasons but this one looked like a classic.
All I know is on Friday I had a trucker almost run me off the road. I had to slam on my brakes or he would have hit me. I slammed down on my horn for a minute or two. A minute or two later, I passed him, slammed.my horn on again and flipped him the bird while staring him down. Blissfully if orange to what I was doing, he happily tooted his horn at me. Almost made me want to forgive him.
If by binge drinking you mean when you get so drunk and lost that you have to blow a trucker for a ride home...
Is "Trucker's Horn Pull" lingo for something other than the semi's horn? Like, are you referring to yourself having enjoyed pulling a Trucker's horn?
I'm from Huntsville. This is an official under-18 sport there...you know, getting the 18 wheelers to honk their horns for you...
Man, I LOVED that movie when I was a kid. The mid-late 70's, when people actually aspired to be truckers.
