i saw it, it didnt pull me in i'll probably watch a few more eps to see the characters develop a little bit more esp sooki since she is strange herself. my friends and i all thought it was weird when we heard Tara speak, but she was a cutie.
Yeah, we were laughing at this show the whole time. Did not do a lot to impress me with the first episode. I will watch one more. I like the idea that vampires are an everyday thing. They want rights and stuff. Cool way to look at it. Spoiler Why could she hear everything people were thinking? I missed the first 13 minutes. I think next week's will be better because of the whole thing where she is going to die unless the vamp bites her.
I can tell you from the books... Spoiler Sookie is a telepath. She can hear everyone except the vampires.
In that case, I'll let you know in a week once I watch the second episode and decide if it is worth my time to watch it. Spoilers won't effect me if I'm not watching it. Thanks for the info.
No problem. I hope that it's decent. I plan to watch it tonight. I have such a vivid picture in my mind of Sookie, Bill, Eric and Sam etc, that I may hate it.
The characters were pretty cheesy to me. I don't remeber all of their names either. Some of the conversation seemed forced. Hope you have less judging eyes.
Well, I heard some bad things about the Dresden Files series before I watched it (and I love those books) but I liked it. Of course, it was canceled just as they were getting better at writing the characters, so that same thing might happen in this case.
I downloaded the premiere a few weeks ago and thought the show was terrible. Decent premise, to be sure, but the acting and writing were beyond horrible. I'll probably give it another chance, but if the show doesn't improve quick, I'm bailing. Hayesfan, Dresden Files rocked! Stupid Sci-Fi channel...
I thought it was alright...I missed the first couple of minutes, so I thought I missed how Sookie could here peoples thoughts...I have a season pass so I'll watch... Anytime you have t&a, a show is good in my book...
Not at all how I pictured in my head from reading the books, and wasn't too happy when I saw the previews, but after watching episode 1, I can see it turning into a decent show....not quite there yet.
I didn't get why Rogue didn't just grab the people that were beating her up and suck out their life force. What's the point of having powers if you don't use them?
