Tell me more about how a "ALL IN" team values their cap space. Also tell more about how Capella is such a smart defender with big muscles and box in techniques. Also tell me more about his glue hands catch passes that don't lead to turnovers and momentum breaking fast break points. Most of all tell me more about how his superb rebounding skills. Give me a break. All in. Those two scrubs. Dekker and capella are trade bait for the right pieces.
I don't know man. Capella seems like the type of player that will improve more and more. Seems to have his head on straight. I would not trade him if it were me.
Looks like Von Wafer a little... lol. But seriously guys, one game, chill. I'll be honest tho, give him a few more games and let him get adjusted to our shiz, and I think he'll be rollin. We still need Ariza, so don't act like we can win without Ariza... he's a glue guy, and the type of glue we need for a while until the glue really starts peelin away. Back to Troy, I like how he's not shy about lettin that 3 fly but most importantly his hustle motor keeps on speeding (like Dekker). Wiltjer needs to have that same mentality.
Yes, Harden has been practicing shooting right-handed, but wanted to play incognito, in case it didn't work out.
Huh? Rockets are not in ALL IN mode nor should they be, Harden is in the prime of his career you only go all in when your star is about to retire or whatever, and you want to blow it all up in the next 2 years or so. There's never been a successful team that went "all in" and didn't flop right after they went all in, if your goal is for the Rockets to be lottery 2 years down the road then sure go ahead and go all in. Capela is just 22 years old, you have college players older than him right now so I don't know why you are talking like he won't improve. It's pretty dumb and short sighted to trade a budding star like Capela for an old guy who won't move the needle a lot. Remember you're gonna be paying the max for that due so you lose Ariza or Lou Will in addition to losing whatever you trade for him. As for troy williams, I am very hopeful for the kid because honestly Dekker looks like he's a tweener, his shot sucks too much to play SF and his body is too small to play PF. And, his defense is mediocre to bad so we can't really use him as our Ariza replacement long term. OTH, Troy Williams showed he has range at the 3 pt line and with his lanky build he can totally develop into a really good defender. Dekker breaking his hand might be a blessing in disguise because it'll force MDA to play Troy Willaims and allow him to grab a spot in the rotation.
Because one good performance against a tanking Suns team that is younger than most college basketball teams proves anything. Let me know when Troy Williams does this against elite competition.
Trade bait for what? I'm definitely not saying Capela is a world beater or elite, but for the contract he's playing on, the age he is currently at, and the production he is giving for a starting center.... I'll take it any day. What would you rather have... Dwight Howard? He fits our style of play much better than anyone out there at the moment besides KAT or Kristaps who are virtually untradeable. These are the idiot posts we had to deal with last year when everyone thought Harden was trash, "TRADE HIM NOW!!!" for what?!... Bradley Beal? CJ McCollum? Zach Lavine? Just be happy with what you have before you start making up these dream trade scenarios a cheap reliable young center. He ain't the best but he sure as hell isn't close to being the worst either.
Ok, let me teach you something. Deandre Jordan at 22 yo averaged 7ppg and 7rpg Deandre Jordan at 28 yo averages 12ppg and 13rpg. CLINT CAPELA at 22 yo averages 12ppg and 8rpg. Capela fits our system with his pick and roll to the basket that has become a weapon in our system, like i said he's only 22 in an new system and his numbers look great in comparison to most centers in the league while being on a bargain rookie contract. you keep Capela and develop him while you try and sign a star with that cap space this summer instead of just dumping him and overpay for a center. here are Deandre Jordan's numbers if you'er interested. http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/j/jordade01.html
I don't understand the big hype. He will do like every other non James / Bev Rocket and become garbage very soon. Probably as soon as his 10 day is up and we lock him in.
