Thank You. Fisher is a joke. I would take Hudson over Fisher in a heartbeat. The guy can score and is more athletic than Fisher.
Fisher is definitely on the slide of his career, and he's looking for $$$. Hudson was not selfish, just hot, against the Lakers two years ago. And he was very unselfish this year, accepting his bench role when the club got Cassell. Barry could be decent, but not a basketball jesus like many on here think he is. Snow is also on the slide. Very slow, questionable one-on-one defense. Answer: Anyone is better than the Lue/Gaines/Wilks trio we have now.
I'm not sure if Fisher really is a JVG kind of player... April 20, 2004, 2:45AM Van Gundy desperately needs officials to swallow bait By JOHN P. LOPEZ Copyright 2004 Houston Chronicle RESOURCES "I don't even have to look at the calendar to know that it's spring coming on summer, with Phil complaining about the officiating," Van Gundy said. "It happens like a rite of passage every spring. And it's interesting. His team shoots more free throws (than opponents), I'm going to guess probably 80 percent in his career. But it's those ... Lakers always getting screwed. "Yeah, really. Shaq is a finesse player compared to Yao. And Karl Malone and Kelvin Cato, who's more physical? And you have the Patron Saint, Rick Fox, who never touches anybody. And then you've got Bryant who is bigger and stronger than Mobley. You've got a guy nicknamed `Glove' for a reason. And then you've got the flopper, Fisher bumping and grinding. So who's the more physical team?
http://www.sportsradio610.com/listingsentryfeature.asp?ID=6991&PT=Feature+Story 610am is reporting that we talked to Troy Hudson's agent yesterday?? How did this slip through the cracks??
Hudson isn't that turnover prone from his stats. He averages 1.7tos for career, and in the only season he started, he got 5.7assists/2.3tos. Not that bad. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/statistics?statsId=3235 My impression is he is more like Nick the Quick, rather than Francis.
Derek Fisher is a scrub people. Check his stats. Almost any point guard the Rockets get will be better than him. I prefer Barry myself but i'd settle for Hudson or Aroyo.
Other than than having better 3 point shooting (45%) and shooting efficiency (1.49 points per shot) than ANY point guard in the league last year I have no idea why either.
