Troy Aikman just claimed Miles Austin is best wide receiver in NFL! Pure homer talk?!

    Yep, he is.

That's exactly why the best receiver in the NFL nearly killed me single handedly in fantasy football with 30 points this week, while the other Texas receiver only had 3....

We already know these guys are wayyyy overhyped and there's nothing more that helps prove that than the preseason predictions and their current record.

Brings a smile to my face everytime.

If "everyone" is open, wouldn't you throw it to your best player/playmaker/"best receiver in the NFL"???

And when Andre is open, Schaub throws him the ball before anyone else. Notice on the game winning TD yesterday, OD was open underneath and Andre was open up top with a single DB splitting them in the middle. Both would have gotten the touchdown, but who did Schaub throw the ball to?

Calling Miles a top 5 receiver is laughable enough, but the best receiver in football after a single good season is just dumb. In the 3 seasons leading up to last year, Miles had a grand total of 350 yards

Spacemoth - Great video. I was there at that game and that was one of the coolest things I've ever seen live. Not to mention that tied the game up. I we had got a yard to close the game and win, that would have been all that much sweeter.

I swear, you are one of the most annoying posters on this site.

It's like your goal in life is to annoy the hell out of people as much as you can.

I giggle constantly reading this over here. That 4-2 could easily be 2-4 regardless of that 27-13 is all that needs to be said. 1 on 1 ass whipping

And if I was born with a vagina instead of a penis I'd be a woman...?? r****ded logic is r****ded.

It is somewhat baffling that the Cowboys one win is against the Texans, and head to head, they may be the better squad this year.

Or maybe not. Or, who knows.

4-2 is clearly better than 1-4. But there's a lot of football left to be played.

As for Austin vs. AJ80. It's not as clear as MJ being the obvious best basketball player on the planet when he played. It's more of a Kobe vs. Lebron argument, imo. Maybe even a Kobe/Lebron vs. Wade argument. AJ80 is clearly considered a top 1 or 2 receiver. Miles Austin may be considered so by some, but not by others. AJ would get more first place votes if this was being voted on. But Miles Austin is still very very good.

The Cowboys have a good passing offense. Their defense isn't horrible. Their running game sucks, you have to question Romo's leadership abilities, and clearly their coaching overall is not championship caliber coaching.

I bet Andre is better at playing leapfrog than Miles.

Awesome, you won your Super Bowl. I guess that win made your season.

Go ahead and go 1-15, but you beat the Texans. !!!

27-13 doesn't get you to the playoffs. So keep giggling.

Actually, stop giggling. Little girls giggle, not grown men. Although I can never tell with you Cowboy fans.

You heard it differently than I did. He said the only person you could put ahead of him right now is Andre Johnson in Houston. Thats differently than you are putting it. And until this week I think he was leading the NFL in yards per game. He has been an absolute beast. Then the Vikings shut him down.

Miles Austin is definitely top 10 and not a one year wonder, but andre johnson is the best receiver right now.

Wow, 38 yards?? On the heels of that stellar performance in Minnesota?? Gotta say though, Austin's performance did allow my wife to win her fantasy football game. While Her QB(Eli) was throwing to her only WR to do anything(Manningham), Austin was sitting on the sidelines wondering what the heck Troy Aikman was talking about.

My team was leading by 40 after Sunday, but I didn't feel secure because my opponent had the Cowgirls Defense and Miles Austin. My only player left was Dez Bryant, who was on the bench. I haven't been able to check the final, but as of the end of the 3rd quarter, I was still up by 30.
