About 2 and a half weeks ago me and my brother got a call to go play basketball at the high school we attend. So we went to the school played basketball for a little over an hour only to watch a cop arrive. He did not want to hear any excuses and gave us all tickets. He finally informed our school and we all just got 2 days of in school suspension and a court date. We are mostly honor role clean record students. What sucks even more is that according to the school policy we were to be issued to a wirtten warning which would be led to no court date and an Saturday detention. The school says they have to take it as a level two offense because he wrote a ticket. The cop said that they follow the law and not the district rule even though their district police. We have fallen in a loop hole in the system and it sucks. Anyone have some similar situations theyd like to share?
They were probably cited for trespassing. You can't just go to the gym anytime you want and start playing bball. It has to be during PE or basketball(team) probably. Could you imagine if we tried that at Clear Lake High School? We would probably be in the showers getting pops and then the school cop arrests us. Then, we get some hick lecture about how do we know how dumb we were and what could happen to us? You could go to Juvenile Hall and do time, boy! Plus, they give us tickets for PIs.
I suggest that you contact the Houston Chronicle, and every news channel in town. They'd love that headline. It would severely damage the school's image, as well as the police force. And all charges and penalties would almost certainly be dropped. -- droxford
Rocketman95 Taylor's coach got his ass chewed by Katy's coach last weekend. That was awesome. And katy got their asses chewed by taylor in the game
there's this church called Northwoods Presbyterian Church by my house. my friends and i would always try to get on their indoor court in the summer when it was too hot. there was almost always at least one door open on the outside and then you could usually just walk in and get on the court. one time we tried about 5 doors and finally on the last one we got in, but then the two main doors into the gym were locked but not the door to the kitchen which was connected to the gym. so someone had to go into the pitch black kitchen and find the door on the other side to they gym and turn the light on for the rest of us. thinking back on it, it seems fairly illegal (especially the lengths we had to go to that time) but we were just playing basketball and only going through open doors. even the one time someone saw us there they just said they were about to set up for something else that was going to be there and we had to leave so they didn't seem to be particularly concerned. come to think of it, i'm not sure why there were always unlocked doors considering no one ever seemed to be there. it's not like these were doors into the church part or anything, just the administration building part of the place.
Been there, done that. At one church, all the doors were locked, but there was an outside stairway that had a door which let people onto the 2nd floor track above the court. So a friend of mine climbs the railing around the track, jumps onto the basketball goal, and eases his way down to let us in. We got caught, but they just told us to leave. It's so hard to find a free place to play ball nowadays.
Very true. Where you there? The confrontation after the game was great! Of course, we just sat through a 40-point loss, so anything was better than that.
Next time, bring some swords... and maybe a plastic gun or two. And keep the Big Wheels ready for a speedy getaway.
Uh...the showers are where the gym coaches take you to receive your pops. They seem to like it in there because, when they pop you, the sound echoes and comes off as a gun shot. Make sense, now?
