The year of the fish storms ! Even the Hurricanes are avoiding Miami now that Lebron, Wade and Bosh are there. DD
I swear to all that's holy that Eric Berger/Sci-Guy (who I think does a great job, by the way) wants us to get demolished by a hurricane so he doesn't have to hear twits like me sarcastically say, "great forecasting, fellas" at the conclusion of the season. http://blogs.chron.com/sciguy/archi...ry_active_why_there_are_no_imminent_thre.html Therefore, while we can take some comfort in the likelihood that Danielle and Earl will be fish storms, we'll have to closely watch what forms behind them during the first few weeks of September. OF COURSE WE WILL HAVE TO CLOSELY WATCH IT!!! EVEN IF EVERYTHING ELSE YOU SAID WAS DEAD WRONG, WE HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH HURRICANES ENOUGH TO KNOW THAT WE'LL HAVE TO CLOSELY WATCH IT!!! BUT WHEN YOU SAY IT EVERY STINKING TIME IT REALLY JUST LOOKS LIKE YOU'RE SAYING: "please keep reading my blog when it has tropics or hurricane in the title."
Yea, I read that earlier, MadMax. They're just pulling things out of their butts now. An interesting link of a loop video from last year. http://www.nasa.gov/topics/earth/features/2009-hurricane-vid.html
i've read...at least 3 times this season...that "next week" would be the week we'd "have to watch closely."
I'm located right off of St.Kitts/Nevis in the Eastern Caribbean. We are expecting alot of rain and wind of about 30 knots starting on Monday from Earl. We have been told to move our boats off the Eastern part of the island, otherwise it will be boat bye bye come Monday. Hopefully the main part of this storm will track well North of us, but it hasn't moved that far away as we had hoped.
Computer models continue to show Danielle and Earl curving northward before threatening the east coast. This is good. The below is not but it is very far in the future. This would be Fiona and if it verifies the east coast would be screwed. 920 mb on a computer model is nothing to sneeze at. This bears watching. Btw, Danielle has made cat 4. Pretty storm to look at but it should peak soon and begin a steady weakening according to NHC.
