Oh, sure, now you predict it. Definitely a cat 3 at this point and it looks to be midway between the southern Texas coast and the Bay of Campeche.
If they get a good Hurricane on the Rio Grande maybe it will actually flow to the Gulf for the first time in a decade. By treaty Mexico owes the US some huge amount of water but since they have been in a drought for 10 years they keep getting further behind. A rainy but low wind damage storm would be a godsend for Mexican farmers and ranchers.
Thanks for the kind words guys. My Granndma was 84 and while she was in declining health, the suddeness of her passing was a little bit of a shock. The whole family has really held up well throught this, and we all realize that she is now in a better place. My Grandma knew she was going the day she passed, and that made a lot of us feel a lot better, because she was happy about where she was going. As far as Emily, the boards are up, and the house secured, but I think we'll be dodging yet another bullet. The rain will do us some real good. My father and I are half jokingly talking about a barbqing tomorrow.

Not at this time, as it is harvest time for Cotton....this would devestate their crops in the Valley. DD
Just got our first rain gust. No biggie, but it hit our back French doors, so I decided to put the boards up over them. I was hoping to leave them open, but oh well.
Hopefully it ain't too bad. I think cson is also in LAREDO. He's the one with "paz en los dos laredos" on his sig.
Nothing so far. It's slowed down before coming into land, but it is a cat 3. Not many gusts or much rain so far.
