Yeah, I feel they tried too hard. I didn't find Rober Downey Jr. acting black, Ben Stiller acting r****ded, or Jack Black being a heroin addict to be all that funny. Oh well. I did like Step Brothers, but I went in with much lower expectations.

    Quote definitely NSFW.

Hey, Alpa, if you come over here and untie me, I will literally suck your *beep*, right now.

That whole exchange was my favorite.

The funny wasn't in Stiller acting r****ded...it's a commentary on how Hollywood approaches subjects such as these. The whole movie was making fun of Hollywood.

I was very disappointed. I thought it was going to be a laugh riot. I was wrong. It had its moments but it was not as good as I expected it to be.

Just determining who I should take with me to see this.

Is there a high level of course language/drug use/sexual scenes?

Very strong language, a little drug use, lots of violence and I don't remember any sex scenes.

A lot of drug references. Real big eye opener on drug addiction...

    Yikes.

I wasn't that impressed at all.

Truly a case of having too high expectation going into a movie.

    BUMP.....

Finally saw this over the weekend.

I don’t know, it had some great lines and a lot of funny references to other movies/actors, but overall I thought it was pretty forgettable. Matthew McConaughey wasn’t funny at all. I’m not sure why his character was even in the movie. Jack Black was also very unfunny.

Maybe if I see it again, it will make a difference. I didn’t laugh much at 40-Year Old Virgin the first time I saw it and now it’s one of my favorites. I was just expecting more.

I did love it when Tom Cruise started dancing at the end. That may have been the funniest part of the movie.

I couldn't even make it through the first 30 minutes of this movie. I had to turn it off in disgust. I really had high expectations and thought it was going to be really funny. All I saw was unfunny jokes, excessively disturbing blood and guts, endless cursing (they basically tried to cram in as many swear words as was humanly possible). It was just unbearable. What a waste.

I thought RDJ did an incredible job of playing a white actor who was playing a black soldier who was disguised as a Chinese farmer.

I felt the same way. I was expecting this to be one of the funniest movies ever, but it really only had a few really funny parts. I was hugely disappointed.

I thought it would be funny. I didn't laugh once.
