I will keep my meat till the next butcher (Coach) is available. Less the spoiled spots (Gordon / Nix).
We already cut Nix's hair. Real talk though, the last 2-3 games I've literally said outloud "who the f is that" when Nix gets in game. He looks legitimately 20lbs lighter without the hair.
I think this is a good topic and will prioritize my recs... #1: Trade or release Gordon. Prefer a trade, but don't want to take back more or longer-term salary, unless the return in draft capital makes it attractive. #2: Nix. I try to really give young players the benefit, but between his actual game play, body language and apparent attitude, he needs to go. If its a trade great, hell just send him to the G-League if you truly see something to develop, but get him off the A-Team. #3: KMJ or Tate. I like both these players, but both are role players and if we can gain better players or draft position with their addition to an EG trade then let them go. I'm also good keeping them, but if KMJ demand is still a thing, then send him out for value. Other thoughts... KPJ needs more time as a SG/SF to see how he could develop there. His athletic ability is worth seeing how he would work in a role more suited to his strengths. This benefits him, the team and his trade value if that's the road Stone choses to travel. This would lead to 30+ minutes for TyTy at PG. Give him a real chance to run the team and see what he can do. He takes care of the ball and makes the right play at the right time. If KPJ plays more SG/SF that will impact Garry Bird's time, but I like having him as someone that can change momentum quickly with his 3's and charge drawing abilities off the bench. Boban's usage I don't understand. He could have been useful in spurts against Nurkic for example, kind of a tactical asset deployed in certain situations. However, he's mainly been a garbage man. It's kind of cool to see how well loved he is by opposing fans.
