I've been called that on the court before, many years ago. I always took it as evidence that I was getting into someone's head. Just for the sake of consistency, Harrell should have gotten a pretty good fine or a one game suspension.

Crazy, I didn’t realize that some NBA players were 400 years old.

Flip the script of hundreds of years of oppression and slavery and a class system where black people were lower than whites, leading to the term 'boy' being used as a symbol of that opression in order to keep them in the place. Flip that script?

I’d love to flip the script, all the way back to slavery. Let’s see how white folks respond to that. :D

I think the answer here is to repaint the courts with “White Lives Matter” for at least a week. Problem solved...

Imagine thinking the NBA going all out for equality, then show they don’t actually care about equality, is the same as Garnett.

man, AI is getting pretty good. the "Ads by Amazon" at the bottom of the thread was apparently able to correctly identify the level of argument in this thread and recommend "Beavis and Butt-Head: The Mike Judge Collection: Volume 1".

Hey, it was pointed out because it did represent a double standard if it wasn't....NBA and Harrell addressed it, all good. End of story, I think.

It was only an issue at all because of the likely double standard...and because that would detract from the message the league, and all the players, were trying to send. So, it probably needed to be addressed, and it was.

Fair points. There is a different perspective. But that doesn't mean that allowing certain comments while castigating others is helpful...especially to the BLM side.
