He's a four that sometimes can guard slow 3s.. but today in this league 3s are fast, so he can't guard em
I really think he's reached his potential as is. Budinger may have been NBA-ready, but his potential wasn't that talked about during the draft. I'll agree with smarter and shooting the ball well... But Chase just screams average, satisfactory, decent. I don't get that vibe that he's going to be something special and I'm pretty confident his limit in the NBA is being a solid rotational player in the league and that is all.
Ok that is cool.... I think his potential is higher......rarely do players reach their potential in their rookie years at the age of 21...but whatever... But, if you just break it down between Trevor and CBud...... CBud will be the better player, so you keep him. DD
Debatable. But nothing is truly known until it happens. It'll be while until the truth comes to light, and even I can't predict accurately what that will be...
Or Ariza just really wasn't that good and a lot of us won't miss him. Clinging to a player after he's traded is more bizarre than having expectations for the new player on your team.
DD Stop it, No way Trevor is the 3rd best. If you believe in overall team value, he's above all 3. Also if you believe in team defense and rebounding. Why: Battier - He shoots better than him, rebounds at a higher clip, and can actually get to the rim and dunk on a fastbreak or in the offense. Budinger - We all know that Bud is very soft on D and get's pushed around as a rebounder at SF. Image Bud against the top SF's in the league. He's going to get murdered on the defensive in and isn't tough enough to drive by people Jeffries - Point blank, can't shoot to save his life and doesn't rebound at a high clip. Will this board please stop downgrading the abilities of Ariza, because our GM so called genius thought enough to give him a 5 yr and $35 mln contract, knowing we had to pay Scola and Lowry.
Ariza sucked here, had a bad attitude, couldn't shoot, bristled as the team was taken over by better players, and had terrible body language on the court. Sorry, but I am ECSTATIC he is gone, we don't need prima donna role players...... He just did not fit in, and when the team got better options - CBud..... They moved a potential clubhouse cancer out. DD
Not at all, I think Budinger has a better skillset, is younger, and is only going to get better. All things being equal you take the younger more skilled player on the cheaper contract. Smart business, and smart team management. DD
I just could not stand Trevor Ariza on the Rockets, thought he was overpaid, and underskilled. And am happily dancing on his Rocket's grave. DD
I agree, everytime we send out one of our players to a team that is in our division or conference they always seem to light us up the next times they meet. And like you said it's gonna be alley-oop central with CP3 throwing up the lobs to TA. Marco Bellineli was a smart move if they somehow find a way to unload Peja and hand Marco the starting spot there. I think they lost there chance now that Collison is gone.
Peja is expiring. They won't have a problem moving him to a team that needs a shooter off the bench at the deadline. They said they are benching him anyways.
The only reason Ariza is gone in my opinion is because he didn't mesh with the team. Not because player x is better than player y. That, and it's also to free up more cap space for god knows who. (Iguodala perhaps?) I like Budinger but your expectations of him are wild and ludicrous.
