This drives me crazy - I don't know how that team has avoided significant injury issues for so long. Give them credit for being high tech with their approach to preventative medicine/treatments, but they rarely suffer more than a week for any of their core team from the completely random slips, collisions, awkward landings, etc. I mean it's going on like 5 or 6 years now - it's kind of unbelievable.

Most of their best players are under 30.

Ya, but the number of games they have HAD to miss is not near as long as the number of games they have missed because they have the luxury of giving those guys extended injury leave. My point is - their players have by and large avoided legit extended injury time unlike most teams in the last 5 years.

Tell that to all the 30 yr old & younger starters who got hurt and will miss extended time this year - Kawhi, Boogie, Hayward, Roberson, Conley, Jabari Parker, Pat Bev, Millsap, Dion Waiters, Zach Lavine, etc.

My point is they haven't suffered extended injury problems with their roster in years. You may be under the impression they have this year because of the number of games lost due to injury but many of those guys could have played but the team had the luxury of extended caution to sit them for longer periods.

I am basing it on anecdotal information about Steph's availability on his rehab. I mean, he was out shooting shots in warm ups a week before he finally got back in the rotation and he was participating in 5 on five drills even before that. I'm just saying - I didn't see Chris Paul warming up pre-game for a week before joining the rotation. Purely anecdotal fwiw.

Cp3 was in the gym getting shots up way before he came back and doing his stuff individually

also defends the best scoring wings, helps with rebounding, "glue" to the team, not being ayoung player.

I'd give him til the All-Star Break. He's already out for the Magic tonight and the 4-game roadie. After that it's Denver, Dallas, @Minnesota, and Sactown. The Rockets just beat the T'Wolves and Warriors at home without Ariza. Why in God's name would we need him(assuming everyone else is healthy of course) vs the Nuggets, Mavs, or Kings at home? Minnesota on the road is a toughie, but otherwise, I'd give him til 2/23 when they return from the break. That's almost a month off to recuperate and recharge.

If it's only a grade 1 strain he'll be out 2 weeks max, probably more like 1 week.
