What a thread ... I'll always remember when we thought he'd be the "new tmac" and he had 25-5-5 in his debut but worked SO HARD to get it lol. But as much as we bag on him for missing those 3's in game 7, I'll remember him more for playing 40+ min a night, covering for everyone's blown assignments on defense when we were atrocious all year and squeezed into the playoffs to lose 4-1 to the warriors. He was pj before pj for us, hauling crazy minutes, playing defense, and being that glue guy. Once we got another dog in pj to come over, along with the mind of cp3, that's what made our defense go to that level it needed to be. Because of him and pj, we were stifling the offense of the dynasty KD-warriors more than any lebron team ever did. Also, if not for the injury to cp, I also think those open 3's for all our guys go in a little more ... we as rockets fans should remember the context of the 0-27 more than casuals ... without another playmaker, and harden having to carry all 48 min, a lot of those 3's were not open, were contested, and from guys playing the whole game due to the infamous 6 man rotation. By the time the open threes came along, our guys were gassed, had just missed their last 2 (contested) attempts, and steph and klay were popping off from moving screens. In conclusion, let's stop making trevor the scapegoat. We weren't favored to win even with cp healthy but we probably would have if he was, much thanks to glue guys like trevor (and harden's greatness).
