Trevor Ariza already feels needed, wanted by New Orleans Hornets

I said nothing about Ariza and Yao.....

Just that Ariza clearly needs a better player than him, and one that he respects to play off of.

Good luck Mr. Ariza. I admit that I was not happy with Ariza's game, before the trade for Martin, and his attitude. He did show me towards the end though that he was a smart and good team player, his assists showed that, but I am glad that he is not playing with the Rockets for this season.

For all the DD bashing, I think he is right that Mr. Ariza just did not fit with the team.

I wish Mr. Ariza the best and I am looking forward to watching him play, and hopefully, thrive in NO.

But you don't make several millions each year to buy a house in each of the city you want to live in, and fly to any city you want when ever you are not playing or practicing.

Do you know that lots of players have a house in Houston (Sugar Land to be precise) even though they never play for the Rockets?

After a million posts by DD, here are my thoughts on trevor. Trevor fit anything the rockets were trying to do in context of winning. I don't believe the trade was anything more than a salary dump after having to pay scola and lowry more than they thought they were going to sign for. If scola were offered mle money and lowry 4m, tervor would still be here, but because lowry was offered 5.7 and scola 7.7, that was an extra 4m the rockets probably wasn't counting on.

Ariza had his issues early in the season just as any player who hasn't been a fulltime starter playing big minutes. Last season were the most minutes he played in his entire career. He took more shots, ran the court more, everything. He thought he could do that and he tried which counts alot in my book. I rather have a guy try and fail in a development year vs talk about doing more and don't even try and posters know who I'm talking about. I never expected more from trevor than what he did after the martin trade. After we got a zero out the lineup, he fell into place and played well within his limitations. If he didn't even try early in the season and just sat back, it would have been brooks, scola, and nothing else and the rockets would have more losses on the resume. Coming up this season, i was hoping to see him take less 3's, run the court more, and play better overral with the understanding he had after martin got here. They traded him to the hornets where he will play well because there is a known leader and general on the floor. Make no mistake, he will continue to play like he did post martin trade with the hornets. It will be no surprise that he will outperform the rockets starting small forward this year. I will watch him just like like i watch all the other teams on league pass. I will not start threads about having him back, because thats not what I do. Quality player on a championship team and nobody can take that away from him, not even DD. Thats more than what any rocket on this team can be said about.

Have to say I agree with this - regardless of the views of others - this comment from Trevor (who I liked and wished could stay) looks like a direct attack at AB.

Here's hoping that TA gets his wide open looks and doesn't brick them - I wish him all the best.

But in all seriousness, there's a reason why Phil Jackson wasn't crying tears when he left.
