https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...ims-settle-lawsuits-against-Travis-Scott.html The families of two Astroworld Festival tragedy victims reached a settlement against rapper Travis Scott, Live Nation and others nearly a year after the crowd crush left 10 people dead and hundreds injured. Attorney Tony Buzbee, with Buzbee Law Firm, who is representing the family of 21-year-old victim Axel Acosta announced the settlement in an Instagram post on Thursday. 'The terms are confidential,' Buzbee wrote following the announcement. 'Axel Acosta was a beloved son, brother, and student. He was kind and loving. He is greatly missed. Please keep his family in your prayers.' The family of 16-year-old Brianna Rodriguez who also died at the festival, also settled in court, the Houston Chronicle reported.
This was a tragedy on top of the that the last words the people hear is Was off the Remy, had a Papoose Had to hit my old town to duck the news Two-four hour lockdown, we made no moves Now it's 4AM and I'm back up poppin' with the crew
Honest question. What do people do with the money they get from settlements like this? Donate some, spend some on the person's siblings or children/grandchildren etc. If I were using some of the money to sit on the beach sipping a cocktail I don't I could live with myself.
By the same token, I would love for my death money to be invested in such a way that would benefit my family's future, hopefully helping set them up for generations. So yeah, spend that money in a wise way and I won't mind, just don't blow it.
I imagine you use the money to make up your loss. Money opens doors like college tuition or a house in a nicer place. If you don't have much money, even splurging on a new car is a quality of life improvement. Obviously people can do whatever they want with their money but yeah I'd feel better with it if it were used to better the victims surviving families
If these people are poor, they don't know how to handle large amounts of money. They should hire life coaches. In a normal market, buying a brand new car for commuting/daily driver is always a bad financial move. Buy something 1-2 years old. It's far cheaper and still has a warranty.
Agreed (what's going on with "flipping" cars is insane rn and will not end well). Trying to imagine the mindset of someone poorer magically winning the lotto. Even if they want to use the death as an opportunity to improve on the deceased's behalf, the two kind of blend together for folks who haven't had the opportunity of life changing money.
