see, i knew there would be someone that would discredit his drumming abilities simply because of being in a certain musical band.

Kobe sucks (as a ball player) because he plays on the Lakers?

I am a drummer, he just isn't that good. While some styles of music tend to highlight the drums like metal or jazz there are standouts in popular music and he isn't one of them. ymmv

thats great. i don't know what we are arguing about. He isn't great. His band had a few hits as a trio so he gets more exposure than the other drummers. He plays with his Hi-Hats really high and it annoys me.

I'm pretty sure Skynard crashed long before Guitar Hero.

HA, you WISH you could have Barkers drumming ability. You are either jealous, envious, or just a flat out hater. Barker is by far one of the best drummers to date. You have no clue what the hell you are talking about.

    This is very good news...

CNN Breaking News header reads: "Former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and DJ AM expected to make full recoveries from burns suffered in plane crash, doctor says."

Not to be a dick, but if you think Travis Barker is "one of the best drummers to date" then you should probably check out some music other than what they play on 96.5. He's not in the same league as guys such as Danny Carey from Tool. Hell, it's not even the same f%8ing sport.

What does that video show that is so incredible? You think Barker is incapable of doing that? Just because Barker was in a band that plays a different genre of music doesnt mean that he cant play "harder".

As a drummer, Barker is pretty much a one trick pony. He plays good solid time and always has a good pocket, but doesn't bring much else to the table besides a mohawk and some tattoos that the kids think are cool.

But now's not the time to even talk about that. I hope he makes a full recovery and as a guy who will be a father for the first time in 4 months, I can't even imagine how tough it must be for the family of the guy who was going to see his wife give birth.

    RIP.
