    I've been to the Golden Temple in Amritsar, but I went in the middle of June.
    So. Damn. Hot.

    This time of year is ideal for traveling around India. I've also been to Lahore (50km from Amritsar) in June/July, and it was unbearably hot.

    I'm not a Sikh, but was very impressed by the Golden Temple. It was such a calm and peaceful place.
