Now that I've wasted entirely too much time on this, here you go: <div id="ta_travelmap" style="width:430px;"> <img src="http://www.tripadvisor.com/CommunityMapImage?id=18392146&type=TRIPADVISOR&size=LARGE"> <ol id="ta_favoritelist"> </ol> <ul id="ta_links"> <li><a href="http://www.tripadvisor.com/members/kentual">View my profile</a></li> <li>Create your own <a href="http://www.tripadvisor.com/MemberProfile-cpt" style="font-size:10px; font-family:Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color:#3860B0; text-decoration:none;">travel map</a> or <a href="http://www.travelpod.com/" style="font-size:10px; font-family:Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color:#3860B0; text-decoration:none;">travel blog</a></li> <li><a href="http://www.tripadvisor.com/">Visit TripAdvisor.com</a></li> </ul> </div> <script src="http://www.tripadvisor.com/MapEmbed?mid=18392146&frm=pt"></script> I tried to include only places I've at least spent the night and/or visited someone/something. And I know I've left out quite a bit....I've been LOTS of places.
I've been to Kumgang-san inside North Korea! Beat that! Sadly, there's no option on the map for that place -- Pyeongyang is the only North Korean city represented. This map is going to be filled out a hell of a lot more after my upcoming 2 month road trip through the USA. <div id="ta_travelmap" style="width:430px;"> <img src="http://www.tripadvisor.com/CommunityMapImage?id=18395547&type=TRIPADVISOR&size=LARGE"> <ol id="ta_favoritelist"> </ol> <ul id="ta_links"> <li><a href="http://www.tripadvisor.com/members/jdgillar">View my profile</a></li> <li>Create your own <a href="http://www.tripadvisor.com/MemberProfile-cpt" style="font-size:10px; font-family:Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color:#3860B0; text-decoration:none;">travel map</a> or <a href="http://www.travelpod.com/" style="font-size:10px; font-family:Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color:#3860B0; text-decoration:none;">travel blog</a></li> <li><a href="http://www.tripadvisor.com/">Visit TripAdvisor.com</a></li> </ul> </div> <script src="http://www.tripadvisor.com/MapEmbed?mid=18395547&frm=pt"></script>

To me, traveling is sorta like 3 ways, it sounds really cool till you do it. I don't like waiting, I don't like crowds, I don't like weird public bathrooms with weird smells and other people's pubic hair, I don't want to think about some typhoid infested $2 a day worker rolling my tamales, I don't want soccer on my Sportsbeat, I don't want to go where everyone smokes, I want guaranteed access to a lawyer because I don't trust local constabularies, I want real police arresting real criminals, I don't want to go where there is open garbage and flies, I feel sorry for poor people, I feel guilty because America hordes all the world's resources, I like AC when it's hot and gas heat when it's cold, the dollar isn't worth crap right now so you would get killed in exchange rates. So, it's the US, Canada and the developed Carribean for me, thanks anyway. I'd like to go to New Zealand but I don't want to be gone for more than a week at a time; too much happens.
I don't have time or the technical know-how to fill out this travel map of where I've already been......but the places at the top of my list to still visit are as follows: Lake Baikal Sumatra Kyoto Ethiopia Tanzania Tajikistan Madeira Cyprus Malta Tunis Peru Madagascar Greenland
I didn't want to make a new thread concerning this, but I was just wondering (those of you who have traveled a lot), what is there to do in Canada? My gf and I were looking to travel there this summer (cuz exchange rates would be ludicrous elsewhere) and I have no clue as to what's touristy there and such. I have heard that Toronto is supposed to be very nice and the Niagra Falls are spectacular, but thats about it! Help?
There's quite a lot of variety. Here are just a few good tourist spots: - Quebec City. Like traveling back in time to old world France. Cobblestone streets, etc.. - The East Coast (Nova Scotia, PEI, Newfoundland). Fantastic maritime scenery. Rocky cliffs, ocean views, Newfoundland icebergs in spring/early summer, whale watching, ocean kayaking. - The West Coast (Victoria Island & Vancouver). Victoria is a really pretty place with great weather. - Rocky Mountains. I've never been out there yet, but I've heard it's freaking awesome. Great skiing, hiking, scenery, etc... Canada is freaking big, so it is recommended that you drive or rent a car.
yeah, its pretty cool. We're going to Prague and Berlin. My favorite places out of my list are probably Ireland Japan Italy I also really loved Spain and China
Vancouver: Stay in a boutique hotel with it's own micro brewery on Granville Island, ferry to Victoria, see the Butchart Gardens, rollerblade Stanley Park, take the amazing drive up to Whistler ski resort (stop at Fuzzy Creek if you golf, it's hung on the side of a mountain). The food is pretty incredible, the freshest seafood and best the fruits and vegetables from the Okanagan valley Calgary: Rent a car and make the run up to Jasper and back on the Icefields Highway, see Kananaskis Park, Banff, the single most beautiful spot on Earth Lake Louise and it can snow in June in Jasper. You can make this run or the run all the way over to Vancouver on a really comfortable train (I haven't) Halifax: eat scallops, lobster and chowder. Take a run out to Cape Breton Highlands and Prince Edward Island where they make the world's best ice cream.

Word. Pictures can't even capture a fraction of Lake Louise's beauty, but here are a couple I took last summer: We also did the glacier ride/tour on the Columbia Icefields...so much freakin' fun. I love Canada.
