Spoiler Anyone ever had Cincinnati Chili? Looks very tempting.... I plan a trip there in a month and will stop at the Blue Ash Chili cafe for a try! <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/EuYw-v9iLA4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
It's... different, that's for sure. Made with hints of cinnamon & nutmeg, it's edible, but there's a reason they put massive amounts of cheese on top of it. They don't put beans in it, so they do have that going for them, but I'm partial to good, old Texas red chili. I guess it's something you try when you're in Cincinnati, but am glad that it's not what I know as chili.
I've always wanted to try it just to say I have, but everyone I know from Texas that has ever had it says it's terrible.
I tried skyline chili last time I was in Cinci. Tasted like watered down meat covered in cheese. Would not eat again.
I had the 4 way, inverted. It's gluttonous and a little silly, but nothing mind blowing. You have to at least try it though just for the sake of trying it.
I've had it. It's like the chili spaghetti from James Coney Island, but add chocolate. A friend from Cincy made it for me once when I was in college. The sauce comes in a can, just add meat.
I've never eaten dog food, so I don't know what that tastes like, but that sounds terrible. I don't want to eat dog food.
