If you're in Oahu, definitely drive around to the North Shore for a few hours. It's an awesome sight. And drink plenty of Guava juice while there. It's good stuff.
Make sure to hit up McDonalds (yeah, that's right) for breakfast...portuguese sausage, eggs and rice! FTW!
Take pics of your family and send them to me. Have fun and be careful. Try and surf...if you dont, I will never forgive you.
¡Ay! My back is burned. I'll email you. Had your phone number but I lost it together with the Motorola V3 while snorkeling. *Darn you, multiple-pocket shorts. I will post some Waikiki + Polynesian Cultural Center luau + fun in the sun + more photos soon. Hang loose shaka shaka. We were in Waikiki and there wasn't enough time to do everything on that ONE island. Perhaps later I'll only take Mrs. SwoLy and do a lot more than just 3 full days of fun. Thanks all, for the recommendations. Mahalo.
MoBalls, I promised some photos, marica. I guess I will post them here for everyone else. Here is a PANORAMIC view of Waikiki starting with the harbor on the left, and ending with the Diamond Head mountain on the right. It's not perfect, I know, you can see the seams on the multiple images: See the 7036-pixel panoramic photo here: Spoiler Or click on the thumbnail to open in another window: It was a total of 11 images stitched together with Canon's PhotoStitch. I will post some more photos soon... I gotta get on the plane...
I just got back from here: This is in Rarotonga, Cook Islands. We were in the bungalow in the middle. There were maybe five people on the beach over the five days we there.
