dallas, phoenix, and utah are all worse teams than us right now. it's not a gimme, but the only way the hawks win any of those games you mentioned is because those teams overlooked the hawks on the schedule. maybe played down to thier opponent and got a rude awakening... any team in this league can beat you. well the rockets have not been doing that. they show up to blow you out. they take every game seriously. the hawks will have to play UP to our level tonight. something better teams couldn't do. something more athletic teams (chicago), better shooting teams (dallas, NO) couldn't do. i have full confidence in our team, up until hell week starts.
Classic Fark cliché. Anyways back to point. Who'd rather see Yao dominate DEF & contribute SOME to the OFF end? I think with how we're playing, I think Yao has to find a way to fit more into THIS scheme vs how it was done. "Run what ya brung." & we're doing that well w/o Yao.
I am also fairly worried about this game. Of all the "trap games" (god I hate that term) on this streak, this is the one that looks scariest to me. I mean we DID lose there last year, after blowing them the eff out at home. ... That said, I still expect us to win it, and if/when we do, it could actually be one of our more impressive wins of the streak (not that that's a bad thing). I think it might end our double-digit-margin-of-victory streak, though, but hopefully not, heh. I'd like to point out, though, that my concern has nothing to do with superstition. Any connection between this game and the one after the '93 streak is just ridiculous.
Trap game or no trap game, Atlanta is a decent team and pretty good in their house. I've got pretty high hopes for number 20, but I'm certainly not banking on it.
The Hawks were at the top of the East back then. This Hawk team is not as good, plus the Rockets will have more rest than the 94 Rockets had. Should be a fun game.
I found this on Dan Patrick's Show Blog: LINK (scroll to bottom of 1st page within Show Blog) In the years past, I would almost agree since it's only natural for teams on a roll to look past a team like Atlanta and lose. However, with the way these Rockets are playing with such confidence, I believe Dan Patrick will be eating his words on Thursday.
I think we should win but as on any given game there is a chance of anyone NBA team beating another. With all of the hype about the streak and the Lakers' game coming up I am worried that the Rox will overlook the Hawks.
I think it is 60/40 Houston.....it will all be about how Atlanta handles the Rockets run.... The starters will keep it close, but the Rockets bench has ZERO dropoff, and it is there that the team takes off. DD
I watched some of the ATL-ORL game last night and I have to tell you I'm not so impressed with the Hawks. Nothing they showed even made me think twice. In fact, every game I watch that doesn't have the Rockets playing has me convinced we're a lot better than even we give them credit for.
Thankfully T-Mac got a lot of rest last night, so he should be fresh for the Hawks game. I don't know why, but he's a lot more consistent on the road.

I have a bad feeling about playing Atlanta.....I really want them to keep this streak alive till the Lakers game, I wouldn't mind losing to them.......cause after that we have the Celtics/Suns.....
Say "No bad feelings, no bad feelings, no bad feelings"...and then click your heels three times and the bad feelings will go away.
Mann I had a bad feeling about that game 15 years ago. I remember thinking before hand that the hawks were good with dominique wilkins. Does anyone know how the hawks did that season??
