It tells me that transgenderism is difficult for most us who are gender-conforming to understand and relate to. I don’t mind satirical accounts or tweets that are parody. But I think they should be clearly labeled as such, just like Twitter requires impersonation accounts to be labeled as parody. Too many “fake news” accounts on Twitter that try really hard to mask the fact that they are fake news by being ambiguous on whether they’re legit or not.
Maybe. I’d support Twitter implementing the requirement that parody accounts tweeting our fake news should be clearly labeled as such or Twitter should tag them as parody. If he’s down with that, then we’re in agreement.
And, as usual, the description of the book is wrong. Julian never transitions. Do you bother spending 30 seconds verifying the tweets you post? Clearly you don't.
I do find it odd that the people who are the most adamant that transgenderism is a mental illness are the ones who use transgenderism as a core aspect of their comedy routine. That kinda says a lot to me honestly. Apply that scenario I just described to any other severe mental illness that dramatically effects lives. It would be odd and not fun y anymore.
Wait a minute... less than 6,000 juveniles are put on puberty blockers in total a year? I thought this was some kind of mass wave epidemic happening. That's crazy. How many of those are mis-prescribed? So it's really a very small problem. https://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-report/usa-transyouth-care/
It does happen. I know a number of transgender people. The majority of them will inform their doctor that biological sex on intake forms and understand that it is relevant for medical treatment. The majority of transgender people differentiate gender and sex. Having said that, there are some younger transgender people that I know and have know that do not and refuse to fill out the forms honestly or accurately. On one hand it is outrageous, on the other hand people lie about things all the time to their doctors and in life in general. I have come across a lot of trans and LGBTQ+ people. Most of them are not extremists, and while they are protective at first, once they know you have no desire to harm them or belittle them, they are very friendly and appreciate being treated like a human. Having said that, I have met and known a few that were very militant about it.
The book is sold at Walmart. Have you read the book? It is available online if you want to actually read what you find reprehensible.
