I do know that the condition definitely exists where people feel subjectively that they are trapped in the wrong body, and they identify as the opposite sex. These people should not be ostracized or ridiculed just because of having that condition. But the pendulum has swung extremely far the other way, where the subjective feelings of members of this group (which differ from objective reality) are being dictated upon everyone else, and other people's rights are affected by that (especially when it comes to protection of women's private spaces and fair sports). And when it comes to children, the whole "transgenderism industry" is downright criminal.
They need gentle, loving, help. Going along with their delusion doesn't help them; it hurts them. I recently read an article that suicides INCREASE after sex reassignment surgeries which, of course, are no such thing at all. Changing sex is impossible and, ultimately, many "trans" people know this and feel that they cannot continue to live and, sadly, commit suicide. They are, of course, under extreme demonic oppression and possession. Ephesians 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

If you sent transgenders to form a space colony on mars, that colony is guaranteed to not exist after some years or when the transgender woke people identified as Martians forget that humans need oxygen and thus run out of air like Cohagen from Total Recall
