Predict there will be a lot more lawsuits as well going forward. What a travesty of this era - I hope every teen sues hard that grows up and realizes the abuse

    That can be the case.

However, statistically the studies that we do have show that 80% of children that feel that way when they begin puberty, do not feel that way when they end puberty.

This is going to be happening and is the most likely method to effectively end minor transition surgery.

It isn't going to be sanctimonious politicians and laws passed...... it is going to be the Courts, if they allow these type of lawsuits to go forward.

Doctor's and medical facilities will go bankrupt and the cost of transition surgery for minors will skyrocket and then ultimately no longer be viable.

At my firm we have already been looking into this as a possible money venture - the same with the Northwestern hazing.... I am not really a fan of looking for these types of suits, but people do come to us, and they can be very profitable.

I'm not the one spamming a basketball bbs with tweets and videos of absolutely hateful and negative nonsense. Why do you have such a strong dislike (it has to be something if it isn't hate) of trans people who do nothing to you and affect your life in absolutely no way whatsoever? It's f***ing creepy how much you post on this subject.

I accept many other opinions other than my own. I have no problem with people being republican and conservative. In better times, that led to healthy discourse which brought good legislation. You can call it whatever helps you sleep at night...but when I see post after post after post after post of just out of context garbage, I see a person who is either projecting or has a deep seeded hatred for a certain group of people...or both.

None of it is hateful. You cannot substantiate this defamatory statement. The tweets show the absurdity of aspects of transgender ideology, and, on this thread, specifically how children get subjected to irreversible and harmful, inhumane treatment, because of corporate greed, misguided ideology, and very misguided parents.

There is zero hate against the victims of this abuse - the children. Very much on the contrary - those who subject children to this sort of abuse are not giving them "gender-affirming care" - they are making irreversible and brutal decisions to the detriment of children. While probably in most cases these decisions are not "hateful", they are incredibly misguided, and it is important to shine a light on that and stop this abuse.

And there is zero hate against trans people, who, as I repeatedly said, should be free to make a decision as adults to live in a way where they pretend they are not their actual sex.

Saying that nothing they do will change the fact that there are only two genders, and the chromosomes determine the ACTUAL gender of a person is not hateful. It is a statement of fact.

I tend to agree, follow the money, if Dr`s are being sued they will self-regulate to preserve their pocketbooks. My personal opinion is these kids should wait until there older, but I don't have kids so I would never tell anyone what they should or should not do with their children, this is a personal choice and its none of my business.

Don't lie. It's really worse that you actually to and present yourself as someone who isn't some closeted, hate- filled, bigot.

I don't believe your intent is to be hateful towards transgender people.

But I also see how some of the things you say can be interpreted as hateful.

For instance, saying that transgender people are "pretending" to be a different gender, which presumes you are inside their heads and know how they think and feel. This is interpreted by many to be hateful. Again, I am not saying it is hateful, just pointing out some of the things you state that do raise eyebrows.

What I mean by that is that their subjective truth differs from objective, scientific truth.

What I don't mean to insinuate necessarily is that there is any ulterior motive for their gender dysphoria. It's just how they feel and how they perceive themselves, for many of them, and that's fine and should be respected. They should be free to live as if their subjective truth were actually reality (which it isn't, and never can be).

Then, of course, there are edge cases, where someone might be hopping on the bandwagon and actually be pretending, like some of these guys who want access to women's safe spaces, who want to no longer be losers in sports, or who desperately want to be members of a "protected class", or who just want attention. My position is that ultimately, their motive should not even matter, because the interest of women in having their safe spaces from them outweighs their interest in being treated as if they were a woman.

The part I cannot accept is the overreach, where leftists and special interest groups try to force everyone (legally or through societal pressure) to pretend that the individual's subjective truth were objective reality, or else. Accommodating someone's subjective beliefs by being respectful and not discriminating them for them is good, in my opinion, just human decency. But trying to force people to do so is bad, it's pure, invasive ideology, and it negatively affects the rights of women and children, for instance.

Where it gets interesting and where the left's special interest group virtue-signaling gets exposed is when the inconsistencies in their hierarchy of victimhood become evident. The left loves to pretend they are the allies of Muslims, for instance. That's because they love to see Muslims as victims, and themselves as the virtuous ones who protect victims from discrimination.

The left ignores the obvious inconsistency in their logic of aligning themselves with Muslims while being hostile towards Christians - Islam is much more socially conservative than most of Christianity.

That's because the left needs victims like it needs air to breathe. Fighting for victims and feeling more virtuous than the "evil, hateful right" is their raison d'être.

And that's why the left embraces transgender ideology so much, to a degree where it tries to elevate it to a pseudo-religious movement. In the left's logic, the more extreme they become in extending the obligation of everyone else to falsely pretend that a transgender person's dysphoria is objective reality, the more they "show up the right", and the more virtuous they can feel about themselves.

Of course, as usual, the left takes it too far, without realizing that by doing so, they infringe upon the rights of other "classes of victims" the left historically cared about (or pretended to do so), like women, children, religious people.

Where all of that falls flat on its face is when you try to force people to pretend a man is a woman as if that were a pseudo-religious truth, but that starts conflicting not only with other people's rights (like women's rights), but also with other people's subjective religious truths. We can see that with Muslims and Christians saying enough is enough, when it comes to transgender ideology.

    Here is my position:

Just like with respecting other people's religious beliefs, I will do it - if people want to hold beliefs I consider fairytale beliefs, they shall be free to do so, without discrimination.

The only reasonable solution to the transgender issue is to apply the same standard - people with gender dysphoria shall be free to live their life as if their subjective reality were objective reality - but only up to a point where it starts infringing upon others' rights. That point is reached when women's safe spaces are invaded, and also when others shall get forced to accept your subjective truth as reality.

I think you should be free to believe in Allah and 72 virgins in heaven or whatever, without discrimination, but don't force me and everyone else to believe the same.

I think you should be free to wear women's clothes if you are a dude (and vice versa), and I can try to play along, to make you feel better, but don't force me and everyone else to pretend that your subjective reality is objective truth.

Because it isn't. There are two genders. Period.

I appreciate the clarification on your position, and get where you are coming from.

Let's look at subjective vs. scientific truth. What is the scientific reality of transgenderism / gender dysmorphia?

The science is still young and unclear, but what little there is points to this being more than a subjective perception by the individual:

    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8955456/

The evidence points to their brains being different - and that gender is a spectrum (at least in the brain) rather than a binary phenotype.

In terms of rights, I don't see a strong case that transgenderism is infringing upon anyone else's rights. You could make a case about sports, but the main contention doesn't seem to be about sports rather about whether or not they can dress up in drag and read to children anti-bullying books. I am not see where anyone who is cis is having their rights trampled on.

Well, yes, I am not disputing that their perception is really different, and that something in their brains may be different that causes their perception - but their gender is not. So I would argue that it's subjective.

Thanks for a reasonable exchange of thoughts without insults, I appreciate it.
