The coaching staff has tried to make Yao into Patrick Ewing Lite; what's wrong with a little Arvydas Sabonis?

And to think.... we came this close to not getting Clutch in the door! YAO How does Yao feel about his summer conditioning to get up and down court? How much weight has Yao gained? Has Yao grown any taller? Did Falsone set specific goals for Yao, and has he achieved them? Yao still feeling any jet lag? STRO Is he going to be a starter? RAFER Is he going to bring streetball to Houston? Root Memorial Square Park? MISC Who's going to be our starting crew? Do any players log on (or want to log on) to the bbs (PLUG!!!)? For God's sake, see if you can find out what that three-finger hand gesture means!!!!

JVG would make sure that those passes will never happen with him at the helm. I am thinking of this in a positive way though.
Clutch, you so totally rock! It still amazes me how you can even find the time to do all you do for this fan community. You might have addressed this already somewhere and I missed it... are you getting any photos while you're there? I'd like to see this answered too, though it might be best addressed to Van Gundy (if you can even get to talk to him). Are they trying to train Yao to think about scoring first instead of looking to pass? Or is it that Yao's passing instincts are opportunistic and not something you draw up plays for? What is it... why don't we see that very much anymore? If you can, you should try to talk to Barry. I bet he'd be a fun interview and will probably shoot pretty straight on anything you ask. Also, see if you can get an idea from Sura how long he thinks he'll be out.
I'd like to know how the players think about the roster changes of the kings, the spurs, and especially the mavs. BTW Clutch u da man.
Ask Yao if he has learned any new post moves. Also ask him where his jump shooting touch went. Ask Yao why not try to get together with Dream and learn a few things from him.
I think he already got Dirk! Does anyone remember the dunk when Stro pretty much tea bagged Dirk? It was awesome. Someones gotta find a picture of that!
Thanks Clutch you rock. Ask Yao if he has ever watched tapes of Hakeem in his prime and if he would be open to working with Hakeem if their schedules ever worked out that they were in town at the same time (like Hakeem worked out with Okafor this summer). Ask Tmac if he prefers playing the 2 or the 3. Ask Stro if there will be any easy layups this year when he's guarding the lane with Yao and Mutumbo.
Clutch: Will you be able to interview anyone after training camp? As things plod along into next week, I'd like you to re-interview Alston & Swift and get further impressions on what they see their roles being on this team. A week or so of hard training camp may yield different or more specific answers than what they say right now.
