He was unloading screams at his teammate Pete Mickeal afterwards though ... don't know why? (missed a pick or something) So, after reading the Feigen quotes regarding the 2nd day of camp, and all the emphasis on motion... Who now interprets Clutch's comments about Mobley scolding the rookie as a consequence of players missing reads in a complex read system.
Somebody get this man a Texans hat... shoot even a Ravens hat wouldn't be as bad as freaking Cowboys hat!! Come on now, Steve that's no way to show love for H-town!!
You mind expanding on your take, SJC, surely you have one, which presumably why you posted. My take is to watch out for fingerpointing in complex read systems. What is really bad is when two players accuse each other of not making the proper read. stuff like backcuts opportunities being missed. 2 players trying to make the same pick. 2 players expecting picks from each other. Missing counter plays. This could get ugly before it gets fun to watch.
The reason why, from the limited knowledge that I have, I do not interpret that the way you put it is that it would be very unusual if someone scolded someone else for not knowing something that was only introduced to both of them a few minutes ago. I would think that it is more probable that it was because the other guy didn´t pass him the ball fast enough or the other guy didn´t get the hell out of the way on Mobley´s path to the basket.
and that is what I said. What do you mean, "just a minute ago?" That was the 3rd practice session, and they are living in dorms together and eating together, basically talking bball 24hrs a day. They only have 10 of these sessions before games begin, right? Besides, he would have just been taught everything "just a minute ago," he's a rookie. Further, in motion systems, you better not hold onto the ball very long, so you have to pass "fast enough," And in all systems, you better have your spacing down, "and not get in the way." Not passing fast enough, not spacing properly, and not seeing your backdoor cut opportunities are probably 1, 2, and 3 the worst crimes in motion...with failing to time your picks or pick for the right person, properly a little more complicated for me to place in the top 3, but that's just my take, others don't agree. Motion creates more complexity, so I expect more fingerpointing. Taking it out on a rookie allows the vets to b**** without really pointing fingers. That's just the way it is. Plus, knowing Mobley's personality, he is probably rooting strongly for Mickael to make the team. I don't see Mobley as a mean guy who ignores rookies or doesn't care about them. Your take seems somewhat accusatory.
Clutch, So KT wasn't on any of the three practice teams? Can we assume he just sat this session out like MoT and Rice? No big deal?
Hehehe...see, Steve likes the Cowboys. Its ok to like them. Hmm...maybe he hasn't been watching them lately...j/k. (BTW, I wonder if there will be 50 more Steve haters tomorrow.) As for the training camp, it sounded pretty good. I kind of felt weird about Mobley scolding Pete, but I think he's just trying to help him out. Kind of like what heypartner said. Still a little curious about Cato. Pretty much the only thing I've heard is that Francis ran into him, but didn't even feel it. Or something like that. I just want to know if he seems improved or if he's the same overweight lazy guy. edit: never mind about Cato. I read Clutch's notes from today and read there would be an article about him.
