Trainer David Thorpe on Kevin Martin

I have a lot of respect for David Thorpe.

 

Wonder which other NBA player does David Thorpe also work with?

He seems not only smart and wise, but his comments on Martin are not too biased at all - highlights both his strengths and weaknesses (such as needing to be pushed). He can definitely be a skills development coach for the Rockets!

 

im still calling him kmart. there's only one relevent kmart in my mind.

 

He worked with Udonis Haslem since 2001.

He just started working with Tyrus Thomas and Luol Deng in 2008. He responded to a blogger's email about the workout and mentioned Kevin Martin.

He's definitely better than Wayne Hall.

The interesting thing is that he needs to be pushed. That might not make Adelman the best coach for him. He might need a more pushy coach like JVG or SVG or POP.

Adelman is more laid back let you figure things out yourself, that's probably why he didn't get the best out of Tmac because tmac needs a pushy coach.
