It was very entertaining. The story wasn't great (though i dont think its as awful as everyone says) and some of the acting was awful, and there were some really stupid parts, and the ending wasn't very good, but the action scenes were awesome and the effects were amazing the soundtrack fit incredibly well. And the time went by fast, I didn't really find it boring or dragging. Nothing great but quite enjoyable. 3D didnt really do anything for it though
Disney hired a first time film director, a tv commercial guy. I had hoped they would've done a T2, ie let the original filmmaker tackle it. I don't have high hopes for it but it's a Tron sequel.
Really good movie. Incredible visuals, nice action and Daft Punk was awesome. I have to get the score now for it. But, it could have used at least one more big action scene and the 3D was way underwhelming. So disappointed by that. I thought if one movie could reach the level of Avatar in terms of 3D it would be this, and it didn't even come close. So you're better off seeing it in 2D. And while it was good, borderline great, it doesn't quite reach epic status. You look at the first Matrix. You were completely wowed by that first scene with Trinity. But it didn't stop there, it kept raising the bar all the way to the end. Tron has a number of wow moments, but nothing that elevates into the realm of greatness. Still awesome though. I didn't have a problem with any of the acting and the story was fine...for the type of movie it was.
