What theater is showing this movie? I tried both AMC 30 and Edwards and neither had it playing. I ended up watching Gran Torino instead
You don't have to like wrestling, but I hope you can respect the art of pro wrestling and what they do. Who would have thought that a movie about two of most frowned upon professions (Wrestler and Stripper) would be so well liked by the media.
I was thoroughly unimpressed by this movie... Spoiler I 'believed' it, as they say, but it wasn't really compelling. I just felt like i was watching a story about one of my uncles. Sure, in certain parts you feel bad for him but it was almost always his fault. And now i can't get that 'balls to the wall' song out of my head. I enjoyed the wrestling and comedy relief more than anything.
I don't know there's any shame about being a pro wrestler, it's not like they're pretending to be real competitive sports, while some Harvard graduates in Wall Street trying to fool everybody.
She's just sitting at home you know. Finally saw this, and loved it. Anyone know if there's any truth to this; like, do they still do these little wrestling shows with has-beens?
well ive seen fliers posted before that had small shows. always thought it would be hilarious to go, but ive never made one though.
Absolutely they do. There is a lot more to wrestling than WWE or TNA! Tons of independent promotions all over the country that try to get these guys to come in for a show, a series of show, or to work consistently for them.
How do you find out about these things? I wouldn't mind checking one out if there's a chance of seeing someone from the Mid-South/World Class/80s WWF days.
