So did anyone see this? Reviews have been pretty bad and it only did 14 mil opening weekend. Which film starring an SNL Alum on their last legs of comedy is worse: Zohan or Love Guru? The battle will likely rage for centuries.
Maybe it will be like Austin Powers. The first Austin Powers flick opened with under $10 million at the box office during its first weekend, also during the summer viewing season.
Saw it this weekend. Not for kids. Full of sexual innuendos left and right, definitely funny if you can get past the "oh, look, my pee-pee! Made you look!", the story isn't that good and the acting is so-so. I think it's a good 8 and Mrs. SwoLy gave it a 9.

checked out meagan good on imdb, man that's the girl from "eve's bayou" wow, she's also been acting since she was like 7.
Come to think of it, I may have. I take Mrs. SwoLy to the movies whenever our young'uns are staying with my parents or the in-laws. I know for a fact we watched Indiana Jones and Kung Fu Panda with the girls, and Friday she and I saw The Love Guru, and Saturday we did Get Smart and The Happening... since we knew these were not for kids (maybe Get Smart only but that was just because it was "free").

I was going to see it until I read Harry Knowles' review at Ain't It Cool. Some snippets (paraphrasing): "If a piece of **** got The Love Guru on it, that piece of **** would wipe The Love Guru off." "Mike Myers put a shotgun in the mouth of comedy and killed it." "I hope this movie makes $70 million so everyone can see that Mike Myers career is over."
Had to decide which movie I was going to see, I choose Get Smart. I think it was a good choice. Myers always seems like a poor comedian in my eyes. Did Alba redeem this movie in any way?
Maybe I'm just getting old and bitter, but I've never understood how society (and by that I mean anyone over the age of 7) can find this type of ***** funny. Also, did someone just say that woman embedded on the first page of this thread was hotter than Jessica Alba? Either that's a really bad picture or I'm completely in the dark...
Definitely. Jessica Alba has the face, but after losing that weight (pre pregnancy) her curves were gone. Megan Good on the other hand is freakin hott! Take Jessicas face and Megans body and you basically have Scarlett Johanson.
OMG, Enough with the Jessica Alba love. That girl is so overrated lookswise. Sheesh! (cue controversy )
Her curves were gone PRE-pregnancy. Christina Aguilera had her kid last year and still has her sick curves along with a lovely set of twins for her husband and kid to enjoy.
