Going in, I expected to laugh a bit, but it was WAY better than I anticipated. It's been a while since I've seen a movie that really exceeded my expectations, but this one did. Very impressed- 9 out of 10 for me. I think I might have liked it more than Superbad, but I'll have to see it again to decide for sure.

    freaking great.

I laughed my ass off...but I somehow completely miss the Mutombo reference. When and where was that?

When Sarah was reminiscing what Peter did, the part when he held her purse at the various red carpet functions, she was posing pics for the paparazzi, one of the photographers told peter, "hey guy, can u get out of the picture, MUTUMBO, GET OUT OF THE SHOT" funny stuff.

saw it tonight, much much better then i anticipated. I think it's below 40-yr old virgin and superbad but slightly better than knocked up.

gotta agree with you.... i was expecting it to be a decent flick but it really blew past my expectations. funny, well-written, good storyline (and one i could relate to).

    8.5/10

Went in with high expectations and was a little disappointed. I laughed, but nothing was overly hysterical. Fine film, but it's not one I'd consider buying. Was enjoyable though.

it's not a knee-slapping comedy as much as it is a very good romantic comedy.

I was really disappointed with it, this move seems to drag on f-o-r-e-v-e-r..

of all the Apatow movies recently I've seen

    40yov>Knocked UP>Superbad>Sarah Marshall

Not a good trend for me and his movies, I'll be waiting to see his next movie until it comes out on DVD..

I agree with your ranking actually. Although I did like all the movies somewhat. I think Pineapple Express is looking top tier. Seems... Different.

Eh. Very good? I don't know about that. It was an enjoyable romantic comedy, but it wasn't very good. Maybe by today's awful movie standards though...

Well I saw this last night with shan and It wasn't really the kind of movie I was expecting. It took a relationship kind of turn more in the mold of Knocked Up which is cool , I just wasn't laughing at most of the jokes like I thought I would.

I did like Jason Segal though, If I wouldn't have liked him I probably would have hated the movie.

    I give it a 7/10.

    40 YR > Knocked Up > Superbad > FSM

    Now bring on Pineapple Express!

    :D

I agree with you. I saw this yesterday, it just wasn't that funny to me. Perhaps they went overboard with the nudity. Although, the dueling orgasms were pretty funny.

    Not enough Paul Rudd.

"When life gives you lemons, **** the lemons and bail."

"I wonder if the carpet matches the pubes?"

I still enjoyed it a lot, especially if I didn't try comparing it to Apatow's past movies.

seriously. Paul Rudd is the ****ing deuce.

I actually thought the Rock Star Scola was pretty good.

I think the line that made me laugh the most was "Why would God put a playground next to a sewer?"

    :D
