It’s not a good a look for Jabari to play in the summer league. He’s got nothing to gain from this. If he doesn’t dominate, they’re going to be calling him a bust.

Paolo isnt. Sochan isnt. Kessler isnt.

I get it I just dont like exposing these guys to injury unnecessarily.

Looking forward to seeing how the Amen, Cam, Tari, and Bari look. Hoping Amen and Cam’s elite athleticism translates.

Gatlin confirmed the two new draftee will play along with Tari and Bari. So even if Tari and Jabari limit to a couple games, they may appear in the first ones including the Blazers.

    Their guessed starting line up

    Thompson
    Hudgens
    Whitmore
    Eason
    Smith

While it looks potent, we could be going up against Henderson and Sharpe. Game might even get competitive.

He'll play 2-3 games then be taken out and likely not play much in these games anyway

Yeah, but so many people will be making final decisions on who is and isn't a bust.

I think for the lottery picks is just fun to see them in action and for them it's a chance to build some chemistry with some teammates.

While for everyone else they are trying to make a team or a g-league team.

Going to take a different perspective here and say I think it's good for Jabari and Tari to be playing. It's more reps against pretty high-level competition, and more reps are a good thing. They both have plenty to work on. Plenty of time to rest & recover before preseason ball hits.

If anything, I might like to see Jalen out there too, although I understand it's an ego thing when you're a third year guy and that would never happen.

Ultimately it should be about getting better, who cares what the haters say.

This should be one of the more anticipated non-Wemby summer league games

Hopefully. This is supposed to be the Whitmore and Thompson show instead they will have to take a backseat to Jabari and Tari.

Jabari and Tari are off-ball PF/C guys in this context, so I don't know if it takes that much away from Amen. Whitmore, maybe.

Matchup of picks 3 and 4 should be great. The top 2 point guards from the draft class, both guys believing they should have been pick 2.

Their entire future hangs on this game (ok... overreach slightly)

It'll be nice watching summer league without JGup black holing it to the rim for half of our possessions, we might actually learn something.

Man, that's a whole lot of guys on our team who are 26 and 27 years old. It's weird when the average age of your summer league team is higher than the average age of your actual team.
