Eleven points in 5 minutes -- is that stat correct ? If so -- I think the man has some game left in him.
haha this is great. Miles and the Grizz can very well screw Portland out of FA for the next two years. I guess they're making up for giving away Pau.
This would be doubly delicious if Miles actually turns out to be a productive player after all. They'd really look like the bad guys, trying to keep a good and serviceable player out of a job because they want to eat their cake and have it to.
I think it'd be better if they did make a trade to avoid the luxury tax. Sure, the teams probably prefer to get the cash, but as a fan I'd rather they gave up some talent.
Here's the video of his game last night. Miles is surely not his former high flying self, but he's obviously got some game left. At least an end of the bench guy. Blazers are F'd. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/8LbLNLwl8UA&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/8LbLNLwl8UA&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
I'd say his performance was pretty impressive for a guy coming back from a devastating injury who hasn't played in two years.
Played last night - and very well I might add. 14 minutes - 5 for 8 (10pts) - 7 rebs (4 off) - 1 steal - 1 block So is that 10?
I am dying to hear from the doctor (and his background with the NBA) who said this was a career killer.
Actually, no one said he couldn't play again. The issue was that he had no cartilage on his knees anymore, which meant that if he plays at a high level again, his next knee injury will literally be blowing out his knees. Hence, it was career ending in the sense that no one his right mind would logically take such a risk given the circumstances.
