You ought to go into each county's web site and find the link to their courts site. From there you shouldfind how to search for your name and see what each court shows you owe with respect to fines. In addition, they may also show outstanding warrants.
You know, you could have called the judge directly. They like hearing from people who actually are sorry that they made a mistake and admit they were wrong, but pay up because of it. He would have even brought your payment amount down had you contacted them early enough. I have a ticket in South Houston that I know I will take care of, because I was guilty, but I will ask to speak to the judge to let him know I won't do it again and I've learned my lesson. Then they shouldn't drive and break laws.
No time to read thru the comments. You can show up to court with the ticket information and talk to the judge. He could dismiss some of them if he wants to. Could also set u up with a payment plan if u want it. That's the best case scenario. U still won't be able to get your license until all of them are paid or dismissed. Sinces they are out of town you might as well just pay up.
If u decide to show up at court go on a day they will see u. Saturday for Houston tickets. U should call for the info.
I have warrants in those counties that i mentioned. I've had several HPD officers run my name in Houston for me and they came up with nothing. If i get pulled over i can go to jail for driving without a license but no warrants show up. Once i pay the tickets i mentioned off then the warrants will disappear.
Thanks. I have all that information already.... Just trying to see if anyone has had success in getting their tickets reduced from so long ago in counties or cities they don't reside in.
Yeah i was about 19 when i got these tickets so doing anything responsible like that was likely not going to happen. I've had other tickets since then that i've taken care of immediately, these tickets just came back to bite me in the ass. I honestly forgot all about them..
